And i also heard that after visiting John's son Paul was walking home and the tune just popped into his head and then he put words to it. Although the line about being under your skin is a very good point about the drug use I highly doubt that's the main theme for the song however. This could be valid considering the beatles were heavy into drugs, as were a vast majority of the population during that time. More importantly John Lennon is my hero. Bottom line one of the most influential people of the last 100 years. I hope one day to do half of what he did in his short life. Anyway, my uncle always has these crazy theories, and ridiculious "facts" that he has apparently come across in his day. He told me that Hey Jude is actually about Herione use. "The minute you let her under your skin Then you begin to make it better" Is really the only line he could tell me that proves that theory. I say its hogswash. I love the song, although YESTERDAY is their best, closely followed by Lennon's Imagine, no way is Hey Jude about herione. I have heard since I was 6 that it was written by McCartney for Lennon's son Julian after his parents divorce. I'm sticking to that because A. It makes the most sense, and B. I REFUSE to believe that this song of all things is about drug use.
