I love this song



There is something wonderful in this song. It really paints a picture in my mind, I can see the river, the trees, the small gathering of people at the edge of the river. It says a lot about the spirit of community, and about the rural people's awareness of and respect for nature, it's abundant giving and it's danger. It evokes a spirit of a simple, yet deep-feeling people, from a past age and yet not overly-nostalgic, and still has resonance today. I love this song more than nearly any other
