------ performed by The Arcade Fire
this band makes a bold statment | Reviewer: Bartman | 7/13/07
Arcade Fire is a band worth putting your headphones on for. Compared to bands playing recycle rock and pop music, this band is orginal. They play with fierce emotions and dedicated to making great songs. Intervention is proof of that. Listen to their CD's. You won't be comparing them to other bands. They're in class all their own. I agree that music 20-30 years ago are classics. But this band are a classic in the making.
Intervention is great | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/9/07

Intervention - interpretation | Reviewer: dlp | 7/10/07
The king's taken back the throne ->Bush junior
No place to hide
You were fighting as a soldier on their side
You're still a soldier in your mind
Though nothing's on the line ------>Bush family married to saudi oil
Working for the church
While your family dies--->clear reference to the evangelical influence behind the administration, family being american citizens/soldiers
There's more, i know you americans need art spelled out for ya, so thought i'd help a bit.
wonderful and relevant song.
Seriously People.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/6/07
Our local television network is using this song in an advert to promote the American shows they are broadcasting like Prison Break and the Sopranos etc.. My head hurts everytime the ad comes on and I have to change channels - the song is awful and totally and utterly pointless with nonsensical lyrics.. I totally agree with Garys comments that music is independent of what a movement means in every part of the history etc.. but I would love to know what music Kjersti is listening to from the 60s/70s if she thinks this cr*p tops it..
C'mon Matt | Reviewer: Gary | 6/22/07
C'mon matt. It's ok...There is life after Beetles. Leave your complex, no more 'nothing is like it use to be' and enjoy life, nowadays even rock'n'roll is alive, the productions are not comparable to 30 years ago. Music is independent of what a movent means in every part of the history, we are talking about music, sounds and feelings.
Oh really? | Reviewer: Kjersti | 6/20/07
Really? I listen almost exclusively to that material Matt, and it's far better than anything I've heard from the 60's/70's.
This song is a perfect example of how shitty pop culture has gotten. | Reviewer: Matt | 6/16/07
This doesn't compare to ANYTHING that came out 30 years ago. It sucks. Sorry fellas, but you need to practice.
Gotta agree | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/6/07
Been playing this song non-stop for the past 2 months since I caught a re-run of SNL (originally aired in January). I downloaded the live version from that show and it's amazing. Liked songs from their last album too but this is over the top.
About the song Intervention performed by The Arcade Fire | Reviewer: ERIK | 6/4/07
I first heard these guys sing "Intervention" on Saturday Night Live, and it was awesome! I was hooked. After they were done with the song, Win smashed his guitar. The organ really adds alot to this song, and ditto to the goosebumps about which other readers have commented.
Not easily impressed | Reviewer: Peter O | 5/25/07
I'm a 40 something years old guy and kind of seen it all ,so not easy to impress. It's been a long time since a song or group touched me,but it hapenned lately with Arcade Fire. They have a quality, that I personally like, wich is good melodic line, deep lyrics, and a hounting beauty.I AM IMPRESSED>goose bumps and all.Well done.
