But I've found The Academy Is...'s myspace page and I am currently listening to the songs that they have on there. I'm actually quite surprised at their sound. I was expecting some crappy emo stuff like Fall Out Boy, but I guess I've been proven wrong. Their sound is very classic and it's a great reminder of old artists such as Pink Floyd and David Bowie. The first song that I listened to, 'We've Got a Big Mess on our Hands' is very reminscent of old school glam rock and British bands. It was actually very fun to listen to and Beckett's voice is actually rather nice in comparison to, say, Brendon Urie's voice(which makes my ears hurt). And this is coming from a semi-professional vocalist. So... I was thoroughly impressed with this band. Especially some of their newer songs. Very different and fun. It's a game of chance I like to challenge myself with. If I can find a CD worth listening to, I'm happy. And I'm pretty much right 99.8% of the time. Anyway-) So I listened. I loved "Attention" instantly. It gave my heart such amazing chills. Good music does that to me. There was not one song on in that album that made my stomach turn. Perfect. And it's not all emoish stuff. This is music to not be catagorized like today's world. I love it. All I can say is that The Academy Is... brilliant.
