i like the band but i also heard a redo of the song where the solo is the intro to stiarway to heaven so i think they this could be a refrence to led zepplin's stairway to heaven although it could have also been a home made remix but it sounded good.

This is a very awesome song, cause its not bullcrap beats, ''Jack black is awesome, but the rest of his band sucks.'' Tenacious D is a two man group, the Drums, everything, they record themselfs. And TD IS very awesome, they have some pretty good songs....

As it says in the song itself, "And we played the first thing that came to our heads, it just so happened to be, the best song in the world". It reflects on what happens in real life, that only one song can be the greatest. And this is it. The best song in the world!

This song Rules, however sum points need 2 be cleared up. Its not the greatest song in the world, (its a tribute) but its not the D's greatest song ever. For all the people who say they only have dis song and the rest suck, u shud listen to der song "The Metal" amaaaaaaziinnnngly gooood. Back to Tribute, I <3 it!!!

First off, this song is very awesome! It is pretty freskin kool-aid. That is how crotch-grabbingly good it is. Anyway, this song can't be the most awesome song in the world BECAUSE: It is only a TRIBUTE to the greatest song in the world. A little birdy also told me that this song was a tribute to Beezleboss, and the long and lonesome road was a metaphor. This would be pretty weird, because this song was made before Beezleboss. Please let me know what you think.

OMG how AWSOME is this song!! How funny is it!! its the freaking funniest thing ever!... ok maybe i need to get out more but really, i know im not the only person who thinks this!! My friend and I sing the whole song through and we pretend to play the song and sing... its preeetty funny!

Well first off Chuck Norris sucks in every single one of his movies and is now doing Tv ads, Tenecious D on the other hand is pretty damn funny, I'm not saying amateurs couldn't play their shit but atleast they have a band that's out there dudes.

This song is AWESOME! I still like Beezleboss (The Final Show Down), but i like to think that this song is a tribute to THAT song, like Final Showdown was the song they couldn't remember lol
