Regardless of JB & KG's musical competence or influences, they wrote a damn good song documenting how much metal rocks. In my opinion "The D" kick ass, even though "The Metal" isn't the most metal song on earth. That means it's a band that isn't to be a completely serious one. The song is just a humorous way to display their love of metal. And yes, it is a crazy awesome song. The only reason he bothered with a humorous patronage is because he loves it so much. And to the anonymous person who loves trash talking, not all music fits perfectly into a definition. Sure they're different, but I love that about them. As said earlier Jack Black plays rock in most of his movies. He does this because he mocks rock? why would anyone make tons of rock songs to mock rock? that doesn't make any sence :P Whether The Metal is a metal song or not I will not comment on, but it's the sweetest guitar I've heard in a long time.
