After buying Songs from the big Chair on cassette in '85, and literally wearing it out over the next few years, these guys had all but slipped from my mind. But I was walking down the hall at work, and heard Shout wafting out of a room. I popped my head in an saw a buddy listening to the CD, which he promptly loaned me.
I put on my headphones and went straight to track 2: The Working Hour. Most folks I talk to don't even know this track, but it was my favorite from day one. Starting with the haunting sax opening and the mellow, but driving (how is that combination even possible?) percussion and synth groove, this song always gets me straight in the gut - in an awesome way. I was back to 18 and loving it. This song, and Howard Jones "No One Is To Blame" pretty much defined my college years.
A tip of the hat guys - after 22 years!

It is a great song. so fare my favorite one. The main lyrics of the song "i find it a kind of funny i find it kind of sad the dreams in which......" are an anthem. they are one of the best bands of the '80s if u ask me!
