He was hit by a truck while skateboarding, when a car hit him unexpectedly. He was in all of my classes, and his locker was diagnol from mine. When he died, we dedicated this song to him. Because it reminds us of him so much. And the weird thing is, when he talks about the friend of his that died, he mentions the name. The name of the kid that died at our school. He died recently, so this song hits close to home for all of us. Most people in the south usually listen to the beat and then grow to listen to the lyrics. But in this particular song,which happens to be my personal favorite on the cd, really reaches out to people who can relate to it. I love the fact that Jamie Foxx got on the hook because he really brought out the song. I like to get up close and personal with the artist. So I usually like songs that speak about real issues that are happening or have happened to the artist. This song is real and hits to the core because it speaks about something im sure everyone wants for their loved ones, to live in heaven that is. The beat is nice and T.I. just really speaks his heart and the fact that he said he shed tears writing the song really lets you know that it touched him. It reminds me of the song by Tupac made called Dear Mama. Songs that are about real issues seem to be the ones I favor the most.
