How do you even notice the grammar? Nobody cares. Are you trying to say that in Bob Marley's song, "Three Little Birds," just because Bob says "ting" instead of "thing" that it's a bad song? Lonely Day is just about a lonely day. Can you let these guys be bad at grammar in peace? It's bad enough that they're lonely, but now they got to go back to eighth grade english and relearn basic spelling. THEY ARMENIAN!!! Give them a break man.

Honestly this song is my favourite song ever, i agree the grammars not perfect but, to many it helps tell the story... in its perfect simplicity managing to use the same word over and over throughout the song while making the song beautiful are really rare, and the solo after the "..your hand and walk away" is the most inpirational solo ive ever heard.

This song IS depression. Anyone who's ever contemplated suicide knows this. There's no worse feeling in the world than having that empty void inside of you just tearing away at you and breaking you down.

This song, although depressing, shows an optimistic side in the last line "It's a day that I am glad I survived". Amen. Although the fight is long and feels useless, in the end, when you exit your depression, you'll have the pride to say you got out of it with your head held high.

This song rocks.... AND IT is not terrible yall just have to listen to the song first because yall judge to fast!!! SO SYSTEM OF A DOWN IN my opinion is AWesome and if yall want to corrects the word Awesomeist then go head!!! :)

Do you "imbicilz" actually think the spelling of words determine human emotion. if it does then where are we in the world? this song isnt supposed to be about how we spell things but what the words mean to us and the feelings we get from them. and if you really think it matters then you are very absent minded.

Grammar?! Its called poetic licence. "I can't get no satisfaction" (Satisfaction - Rolling Stones) another example of bad grammar...who cares? Not the first system song or not to make the most sense either although its supposedly about Daron Malakian's cousin who died in a fire?!

I see it as when they write "most loneliest", sure they make a grammar mistake, but they could also want you to see how lonely it really, really is?
And the pronounciation of banned and stand is rhyming, so is exist and missed. Stop making fools of yourselves.

Even though its not like most of SOADs other work i still luv it. it really gets u thinking & not too much songs nowadays can do that.

& im tired of people not liking this song just because it doesnt hav "correct grammar" jeez get a freaking life not everything is meant 2 b perfect & maybe it was written like that 4 a reason.

this is one of my most favourite songs of SOAD because of it's simplicity. But lyrics is really sucking....although "if you go i wanna go with you, if you die i wanna die with you" this line catches me a lot....

Depends on your current situation in life. For instance, if you survived an IED attack but your fellow Soldier didn't, well then the song makes sense out of a tragedy that didn't. It doesn't have to compete with Shakespeare. I love this song and no other song expresses this kind if grief the way Lonely Day does.

This is really one of the song from SOAD. It really makes you think that even if u have some problems you shouldn't get depressed because it could have been worse. I love 'em. They really rock!!!!!!!

System of A Down is one of my favourite bands, but this song is terrible. "The most loneliest day of my life?" come on. Learn how to speak English. And rhyming "exist" with "missed" and "banned" with "stand"...this song should be entered in a third grade poetry contest. Oh well, every band has at least one song that sucks, and this is one of them.

SOAD is my favorite band, but I cannot stand this song. I understand that people can really relate to the meaning of it, but that does not make up for the laughable grammar and elementary school rhyme scheme. SOAD has written a lot of meaningful, clever, and unique songs, but this song simply does not make that list, sorry to say. "Such a lonely day should be banned. It's a day that I can't stand." There isn't an ounce of sophistication in those lyrics. In fact it is exactly how I wrote poetry when I was in 4th grade.
