To everyone his own thoughts | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/6/11

Well different people have different interpretations. For me this song is describing most the girls, no teenagers boy or girl, who has been struck down by the demons around them and have found nothing in common with them so aren't really accepted by them. So they have to hide in fear but this song reaches out to them saying you are golden. You are not this hideous creature that isn't human, but you are just different and those demons are only jealous or have fallen to the other demons. There's nothing to fear so just live out your life to its fullest by all means. I dont see any connection with God but different people have different eyes, none of them are wrong.

Means to me | Reviewer: Plinith | 4/4/09

This song appears to me to mean that the girl is so tired trying to deal with her problems that she's just about to give it all up. She's afraid that she's nothing special and that she doesn't know whare she's going. The song is telling her that she IS special and that she shouldn't give up.
At least, that's my opinion...

I disagree with your disagreement | Reviewer: jen | 2/28/08

First of all it's God, with a capital 'G' and I think this song has everything to do with God. I love this song and Switchfoot is one of my favorite bands and I really think in this song God is telling this girl 'you are golden'.

I disagree | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/13/07

I don't believe this song really has anything to with god. It's one of my favorite songs of all time but I have to disagree on that one.

seems to be a song for me | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/18/07

wow.. I can very much relate to this song. I felt so alone and hurt last wednesday and thursday... I was hiding inside my bedroom just like the girl in the song.. but then God made me realize that I am golden! I am His princess. He loves me so much. I should not let go... I should never let go.. Let's all hold on to Him!
