The Reviews about One World (Not Three) (page 1/1)
------ performed by Sting & Police
Ahead of his time. | Reviewer: smorgdonkey | 8/30/2004
Sting was ahead of his time with many songs that he wrote often influencing the subconscious of the listener with social consciousness in the lyrics. One World (Not Three) carries the message of unity among people and even a hint of disdain for the labelling of countries according to their economic development into separate worlds. Before 'Band-Aid' and 'U.S.A. For Africa' Sting had spoken about these topics through his lyrics in songs such as this one and 'Driven To Tears' in which he states "too many cameras and not enough food". A lyric genius, (if there is such a thing) Sting always had unique content in the words which he wrote whether or not the listener had the attention to detail to absorb the message within or to do some research to find out what he was attempting to say in the songs.
