Why couldn't more people write like this guy? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/2/09
As I've already mentioned in my artist review for Steven, this is the song that started it all for me: my amazing journey of discovering this incredible artist. A friend played me some music of his years ago, but none of it really stuck. Last year, I heard Cinderella around the same time that the tragedy occurred, and it brought me to tears. It is such a beautiful song, and so hauntingly prophetic in the wake of the accident. I love the melody and the beautiful word-play in the lyrics, and the vocals are at once crisp and confident, yet tender and emotional. I have to say that although I enjoyed "Butterfly Kisses," this song is even better. Daddies and daughters, take note! This is a must-hear.

Stevern, I saw you sing this song for the first time on t v. this morning. Just as everyone else, I had a tear or 2 come to my eye. It reminded me of Bob Carlisle's "Butterfly kisses". My regret, as I'm sure yours is, that Maria could not be here to share in the wedding joy. may she rest in peace.

Just the right song | Reviewer: ann porch | 4/14/08
My daughter is getting married in the fall. This song touched my heart and I could just see them dancing to this song for the father-daughter dance. I hope to get it soon. Keep up the great work-God inspires great works in you.

If a father of a girl hears this and remains dry eyed - he has no emotions at all. Beautiful song. I heard it for the first time this morning and cried all the way to work. I can't wait to let my husband hear it.
Too Much! | Reviewer: John Mica | 1/18/08
DARN YOU, CHAPMAN! I have always enjoyed your music: well-done, edifying, & inspirational Christian songs! "This man is very close to the Kingdom!" I'd think, "He really knows how to approach the Throne!" Then I heard this particular one. It reduces me to a hopeless mass of tears every single time, even while driving; so my wife won't let me listen to it often. I wish it had existed when our daughter was little - it would have helped me to redeem that precious time better.
