I bought a Huddy Leadbetter LP in the 50's; the first or one of them, and played it and played it. I loved his songs but couldn't understand some of his words; I think he sang "I guess you're in ma dreams". I'll never forget him.

I was a small child when my father first sang this to me. I learned all the words, but today, as the east coast of the US is being haunted by Hurricane Irene, I could only remember a verse or two. So, of course, I had to look it up and see all the verses. It's a haunting song, like the haunting hurricane is it's namesake. May we all not feel how the songwriter did about Irene. God Bless us all. May Irene die out in the ocean and not in our hearts!!!!!!!!!!!!
