I was so happy that I often thought our love was too good to be true. I always thought how could he actually love me this much. I really never thought much of myself so Something like me really describes how I felt most of my life. Always doubting someones feeling for me, cause I never thought was really possible for someone to love someone like me.....To me I was not good enough or worthy of love. I am not sure what the song means to Aaron Lewis, but my interpretation is that she takes away all his pain that he has carried with him through his life. That is exactly what my boyfriend did for me. Made me forget about my pain , forget about my past. Gave me a purpose and gave me more self confidence that I am worthy of love. Years later, things are not the same between us, I don't feel he thinks much of me, or loves me the way he used to but because of the love he did show me for the first few years it is so hard to break away, because I don't think anyone will ever love me again like he did.
