Maybe it makes reference to the city "San Sebastian" in the Basque Country, between Spain and France.
It's a beautiful city and the foreigners use to get embelessed with it.
I wonder if the lyrics refer to the city really.
Interpretation? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/21/08
Correct me if I'm wrong, here is my interpretation.
The "Sun of San Sebastian" is a young woman that the singer (presumably San Sebastian?) cannot stop thinking about and looking at ("I wasted all my childhood dreams by staring at the sun"). He had known this woman for a while ("It was good I got to know her well") and wanted a relationship, but he realized she was way out of his league ("That the sun of San Sebastian is just too hot for me") so she gradually grew apart from him ("but now my skies are turning gray") and he went for the second brightest star in the sky ("and I am married to the moon"), figuratively, of course.
Great song; bad lyrics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/20/08
It sounds awesome but I don't really like the lyrics; I was never terribly into the over-spammed love song concept but even worse is saying "The Sun of San Sebastian", which sounds like "The Son of San Sebastian" and makes my friends think I'm listening to gay music.
But it still sounds awesome; I'd like to stress that.
Dude. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/18/08
Each time I hear this song I think: "what the fuck dude, calm down Tony."
I don't think his high vocals fit the song, he should've brought it calmer.
I like it though, love the lyrics and the music.
But the vocals are a bit too much I think.
nice, really | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/27/07
Really nice song, and the lyrics is so good.
One of the best songs of SA i think. Even if i think White pearl, black oceans is better
Awsome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/24/07
This is one of my favorite songs from SA. The music is amazing and the lyrics aren't half bad either.
Wow. | Reviewer: K. Pollux | 9/27/07
Is anyone else as in awe of the solos in the song as I am? I'm almost sure they're the best ones SA has ever pulled off.
