absolutely wonderful!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/8/2008

My sister and I use to sing this song to each other just for the fun of it. I haven't seen her in almost six months now and when I heard this song playing, it felt good.

Beautiful song!! | Reviewer: Wesley Franken | 11/29/2007

I think this song describes what people think and feel when they love somebody with whole there hearts.

Really a beautiful song!!

Error | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/22/2007

In the lyric, I think there is an error.

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

The first line ( if I lay here, I'm thinking that's wrong, I think he says "If I lie here")

wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/14/2007

wow I love this song its awesome!!!!! I'm 13 & I know its a little young to really "understand" good music, but I listen to Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Almann Brothers, Pure Prairie League, all the great oldies, and this fits in with all of them! btw, can NO ONE SPELL?!?!?!?!?

CHASING CARS. | Reviewer: Nina | 8/29/2007

Gary Lightbody, frontman of Snow Patrol, says it is the "most pure and open love song [he's] ever written." The phrase "Chasing Cars" came from Lightbody's father, in reference to a girl Lightbody was infatuated with, "You're like a dog chasing a car. You'll never catch it and you wouldn't know what to do with it if you did."[2]

Words just can't describe. | Reviewer: Matt | 8/19/2007

Here I sit, trying to review the greatest song I've ever heard. And I really mean that. And I'm not some ten year old girl who's never heard good music. This so simple, so effective song has defeated anything ACDC, Queen, GNR, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, as well as any more modern groups suck as Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty, Day, Nickelback, and anyone else you can possbly think of has produced. This song is just so incredibly true. Somebody already said this, and I'll agree with it. It is amazing that a "new" group like Snow Patrol has produced an amazing of a song as this, and it makes me only look forward to what comes from them in the future. Simply put, one of the best songs ever to be produced, and by far my favorite. Being someone who's as into music as I am, it's kind of hard to pick just one song and say it's your "favorite," but I have no problem doing that here.

INSPIRATIONAL | Reviewer: Ray | 7/27/2007

I was watching IFC one night, and they were playing "Live from Abbey Road".
Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" was featured.
When they are performing, they play with all of their heart and soul, you can totally relate to the song.
When I first heard the song from radio, I had no idea that they recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio.

To top it all off, this song is very inspirational!

Beautiful | Reviewer: Nina | 7/12/2007

I really gave up on the 'new' music released lately, and after listening to Chasing Cars, I felt somehting in my soul which only happenes to my heart will go on, by Celine Dion. This is truely a song that will hopefully be remembered in the generations to come. It's a classic and it's a song that no matter how many time I hear, for some werid reason I will never get sick of it, it's real music. And hopefully more songs from real artisits will arise in the furture. The only word I can describe this song is, beautiful and true.
We should forget about the world, Do something, anything, we want, forget about what anyone thinks which is somehting hard to do, but when your with that somebody, nothing matters because as this other person who commented said, the only thing that'll last is Love.
For a 'new' band to compose a song like Chasing cars, is amazing, an alternative rock band who doesn't care about expressing Love with music.

A song, that I'll never forget.

striking - in a league of its own | Reviewer: gwayne | 7/9/2007

The song goes way beyond just my ears. It penetrates itself to the very core of my soul. Not every song can do that. In todays music most songs are simply noise that the ear picks up and the body the doesn't let it in. This song, its like my body becomes in a trance, and something inside, I guess it's my soul....just becomes alive. Its like, upon hearing this song, I go back to my childhood and replay every good memory that comes to mind all the way up to my adulthood
