Chasing Cars or chasing the dream? | Reviewer: tom | 6/4/2008
The first time I heard this song I fell in love with it. The smooth melody and vocals building towards the dramatic finish and then...fall silent. Never gave much thought to the words until I decided to add it to my playlist for my karaeoke. Bam!!! It hit me like a sledge hammer. All the pent up emotions from losing the woman I loved were released the first night I sang this on stage. I sang through tears, I sang through grief...I realized that I would never feel that kind of love again...I couldn't because my body and soul could not take it. I love you Alena

Hot Guitar Player with hot girlfriend Alex! | Reviewer: Luke | 5/3/2008

I love this song because if it weren't for this song I would have never met the love of my life. I was at school and I was listening to this song and this girl who I liked sat with me and sang to it and I knew that she was the girl for me. Ever since then I loved this song and I own it and I can sing it and play it on my guitar. At our prom I told the DJ to play this song and everyone including us slow danced and it was romantic. Me and Alex walking barefoot on the beach where the prom was feeling the cool breeze in my hair and just smiling. We layed on the sand and looked up at the sky and we kissed. I sang this and played my guitar at her Sweet 16 and even today we are still together and still crazy for this song and we recommend this song for people who have girlfriends or boyfriends. I love Alex forever more!

    great | Reviewer: Kailea | 4/6/2008

I think this song is really strong. It tells about absolute dedication, now matter what are the circumstances. A cautious demanding 'would you just lay with me' offering kind of sense in live and...'just forget the world'
... Such intensity 'bursting into life'.

It is a song about what could be, but 'these things will never change for us at all '.

For me it seems to be like one always pursues what is unlikely to be achieved.
To my mind, it was worth living if you ever felt this way.

Sorry, for not writing in whole sentences, but it is so impressive to me, it does not even fit in words.

    I dont understand... | Reviewer: Leo | 2/22/2008

Most people actually Review how a song is heard, layed out, or how the words flow... I dont review like that...

Music is a memory. But rather than be the same memory for all, one memory to be shared, music is an infinite number of memories, changing from person to person, never the same, always changing...

Any song that can bring specific memories to the surface is, to me, a great song. This song is one of those. Great in all ways you look. All the memories flowing to create one image...

This week... This day, have been the hardest days of my life... Losing the one I love because she didnt want to hold me back... Losing the only person to ever make me as happy as I was until a few days ago... This song reminds me of every single memory she and I shared... Happy and sad... My heart hurts, so I write. I write what I feel. I write what i find to be True... Whitney, I love you...

I meant it when I said Forever... Even if you didn't

In short, this song is amazing. It carries more meaning in its notes than any other ive heard in some time...
    This... This makes it great.

    Perfect | Reviewer: Kohan | 2/4/2008

This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Most songs I love are simply a phase, but this song has never lost its pure, undying spirit.

"Those three words/I said too much/They're not enough"

For a very long time, I thought he was simply referring to 'how I feel', which he had just said, but now I'm beginning to wonder if he's talking about 'I Love You'. It's very sad.

The comment Nina made about the origin of the phrase 'Chasing Cars' has also explained more of what the lyrics actually mean. 'Let's waste time chasing cars around our head' and 'Forget what we're told before we get too old', almost speaking against what his father said, to take life while you still can, while you are young.

This song is all that is bright and beautiful, all that is lovely and joyous.

unbelievably beautiful and touching love song! | Reviewer: dave faulstich | 1/21/2008

I'm a 60-year old L.A. guy-was a radio dj in the 60's and 70's and have a lifelong love for great music. I've listened to this song more times than I can count and it never gets old-there are some great acoustic versions you should check out. This is really one of those classic, timeless love songs that adds to the universe!

My sister and I use to sing this song to each other just for the fun of it. I haven't seen her in almost six months now and when I heard this song playing, it felt good.
