...this song was put on a mix tape for me from this hot chick I fancied heaps, we'd kissed a few times, it was a great great summer. She left the country and left me with this song, it struck such a deep chord in me and still has to this day (15 years later). Thanks for the memories!!!

It is a beautiful,yet sad song. I wonder if it is about Vietnam or the Drafting of young boys. Giving them a gun and teaching them to aim and kill. To take away their spirit and make them into souless killing machines. Either way it is both touching and beautiful. A good wake up call

I love this song. To me it is very melancholy and heartfelt, kind of gut wrenching. It may just be the time Ifirst heard it and the feelings I was going though then that I associate with it but to me it appears very sad. I love it though!!
