(sic) is one of the best songs by slipknot. The guy on 3/27/2010 who thinks that Corey isn't enough talented to sing metal is really retarded and doesn't knows anything about metal. Slipknot won the grammy for best metal performance for their single Before I Forget. SlipKnoT is one of the most unique metal bands in the world.

I want to completely disagree with Chris, Anders was a good singer and I don't think he wanted to sound like any other singer from another band. And no Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat was not a demo I repeat was not a demo. It was SlipKnoT's first official album. The album Crowz which they also made with Anders was never released and that was considered a demo but not MFKR. Plus whoever thinks that SlipKnoT is the best metal band on this planet, has no fucking life... Does anyone even listen to the 80's death and Thrash metal bands like Slayer(my favorite), Testament or Megadeth. If you want to go further, even Black Sabbath. After all, I'd say they are the first ones that actually started metal. Slipknot was just another band that came along in the 90's trying to look like they were better than all of those. And no Corey is not the best singer, he is not talented enough to sing metal, he is better off with Stone Sour. If you want to know who is a better singer, Tom Araya of Slayer. Slayer has won more Grammy Awards, and beat Slipknot easy, when it takes 4 people from Slayer to create such a Satanism look, it takes 9 people from Slipknot to just put on a great performance. Listen to the 80's people, I wish I was alive during that time but I wasn't. Anyways that's where it all started. Slayer forever!

This is the same song as "Slipknot" off of MFKR. The diffrence is the original version was funkier, and it was slower. This one is a lot more aggresive.
Plus Anders fucking sucked anyway. Like Corey or not he's a better singer than Anders. Anders was trying to sound like Max from Sepultura but failing at it.
A lot of the songs off MFKR were remade because it was a demo not a actual album.

this song fucking rocks | Reviewer: kim | 11/18/09

all yall people that are hating on slipknot and saying they suck, then why the fuck are yall looking up their lyricks? slipknot is the best metal band on the side of lamb of god. i think that this song was one of their best.

This Song is Better Than The Song Slipknot | Reviewer: Matt | 6/26/09

Ander's singing SUCKED. He was singing like slipknot was death metal or something, and the song was so slow. The song (sic) only takes about 30 seconds to get started and stuff, but Slipknot is plain weird. Alright song in my opinion. Corey may not be the best singer live, but he's better than that Anders dude.

to the guy 5/18 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/5/09

Yeah so the guy at 5/18/09 Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat isnt even considered an album by the band. The band of slipknot does not like that album being associated with them as the band slipknot since it wasnt made by the actual members of slipknot. like 3 of the band members on Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat were either fired of left the band.

Awesome | Reviewer: Bman | 6/2/09

Great way to start the first album. I wouldn't consider myself a die hard fan. I have all of the studio material, but I wouldn't call myself a Maggot. Anyway, a great song. BTW, Tool released a couple of songs that were on the album Undertow that was supposed to be on the EP. Check them out too.

Yeah About That | Reviewer: Pickleh >< | 5/18/09

yeah true (sic) is a revised version of the song Slipknot. BOTH BY THE BAND SLIPKNOT!! the weird "funk metal" is all replaced with... well... metal. and instead of Anders on vocals its Corey. and btw to the dude at 5/3/09, mate. feed. kill. repeat. wasnt originally a demo. it actually was their debut album but due to really low production and sales it is now considered to be a demo. ^^

WTF??? | Reviewer: John | 5/5/09

Ok what the Fuck...? I come here to look up lyrics for this awesome song called (sic) you might have heard of it, its performed by the band Slipknot and I end up reading tons of retarded fucking comments on how sic sounds like the song Slipknot, well no fucking shit really, considering it is the same band and the song slipknot was a demo version. Put 2 and 2 together!!! Just watch early slipknot videos before they were signed. It's also obvious because sic basically is a self titled song even with the name change, it is the first song on there debut album. Just shut up, learn, then comment...Please? And dude your song sounds like (sic) because if you like it or not you did rip it off, there is no way you named the song, play the song, and even sing similar lyrics without accidentally or purposefully RIPPING SLIPKNOT OFF!!! Quit your band now, or grow up!!! And yes I am in a band. Look up Clairvoyant on myspace.

little info.... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/3/09

1. i just gotta point out to that dude posing on 2/22/09.

IM 99% SURE THEY WROTE THEIR SONG FIRST!

and the person who said about it sounds like the song slipknot, i assume you are on about the one on the mate.feed.kill.repeat album.

you are basically listening to the same song. Slipknots singer before corey wrote that song called slipknot. The band then took the name of that song as their own name. It was then renaimed (sic).

Because mate.feed.kill.repeat was originally a demo, thry didnt bother re-releasing it with new title, but when corey jumped in as singer, he added his own flavour to it. The song (sic) was recorded and mastered by Ross Robinson, so because of the quality diff, you wont notice many of the similar instrument pieces. so yeah, (sic) is slipknot after corey changed it a bit.

lyrics | Reviewer: anonymous | 4/14/09

The guy who said,
The ending of (sic) "you can't kill me, cause im already inside you"
sounds exactly lyk the endind of the song slipknot "you can't see me cause im hiding within the umbra"
The ending of the song slipknot is actually worded "you can't see me for I hide within the umbra"

Peace maggots! (Sic)

Wow? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/6/09

So many people spend so much time bagging on slipknot when they haven't listen to anything past Duality or Wait and Bleed. Plus just because you don't like their music doesn't mean everyone has to agree with your opinions. Personally I love Slipknot for the tribal like drums and the the feel and rush it gives me. Plus I love their live performance. As for (Sic) it's a pretty cool idea for a song name and fits well with their image and this particular album. The lyrics are pretty good to me. But yeah, my opinion so let it be.

here comes the pain | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/2/09

somebody wrote

The ending "You can't kill me, cause I'm already inside you." Sounds exactly like the ending of slipknot - slipknot!
There it is " You can't see me cause i'm hiding within the umbra"
Try to listen to that songs!

you´re right. slipknot is a former version of (sic). when you listen to the two songs, you also hear the same riffs used in both songs. just played slower in slipknot.

and to the other guy with his ´sick´ song. hey fucker, why are you pissed. you should be proud when you are such a good song writer like corey taylor! when i write a song, it always sounds like metallica´s master of puppets. but i don´t give a fuck what people say.

Brutal song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/22/09

BRUTAL SONG - I LOVE IT

Anyway...

"Crap. I wrote a song called "SICK" and when I performed it with my band, everyone kept saying it sounded like (sic) by Slipknot, so I've looked up these lyrics and guess what? They are pretty damn similar. So now everyone is accusing us of copying Slipknot when we HATE Slipknot. Now we can't even use that song - and it was a pretty good song. Thank you, Slipknot."

If you don´t like Slipknot, why are you making similar songs?

GO KILL YOURSELF

One of the better Slipknot songs | Reviewer: Alex | 1/3/09

I know a lot of people bash Slipknot for being all mainstream and whatnot, and I do think they may have turned a bit mainstream, not to say I think their music sucks, but this is the old primal days of Slipknot which I find has the best music. (sic) is one of the best songs on the album, and definitely deserves more credit than a lot of people give it. Awesome piece of work, and Corey's best screaming ever at the end too!
