she isn't real. i can't make her real | Reviewer: James | 8/31/07

This song is really awesome--it manages to be heavy, sad, and trippy at the same time. I think the part at the end where he says "she isn't real" doesn't mean she's a figment of his imagination. Rather, I think it means that the real girl pales in comparison to the ideal image that he fantasizes about and projects onto her. I've done that myself, and I definitely think that's the situation he's describing.

awsome song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/25/07

the song is about unrequited love, and the lyrics are dark but beautiful poetry in both 1 and 2.

Awesome! | Reviewer: slipknotlover | 8/21/07

This song is a perfect example to show anyone who thinks Slipknot is nothing but a guy blowing out vocal chords with 8 other guys doing random shit. The harmonies are great, and it's one of the only songs that has them at all. All in all, it's an amazing song.

My only complaint is that there are no good live videos of this song on youtube.

One in a million | Reviewer: Wide Boy | 8/20/07

To be honest, I hate Slipknot's hardcore style... But this song is one in a million. It deals with feelings that almost everybody has experienced once and don't ever want to experience again. I love Vermillion Pt. 2, it's such a beautiful song, but I've never get it right until I deared myself to listen to Part 1. The lyrics are astounding, true poetry, and the sound fits them perfectly. Even though I hate this nu-metal sound, I love this song, being one of the only 3 I like by Slipknot (the others are Vermillion 2 and Circle).
Once again, I love these lyrics adn the whole feeling of the song, one in a million.

She isnt real... I cant make her real... That r the words that remains in my head !!

the olny one that makes me sad! | Reviewer: \m/ | 8/10/07

this is practically the only song by these guys i like, and it's because i can nearly entirely relate to it. I'm going through something similar at this very moment, completely lost in my love for someone(she doesn't know) and it's detroying me, every night i wake up with tears in my eyes 'cause i'm too scared to just say it. when i dream of her it hurts, and i hate it. so this is almost exactly what i'm going through captured in a song.

I love this song. I can relate to it so well... both parts of it describe emotions that I feel so closely.
It's awesome.

Meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/3/07

I think the line "Enter the night that she came home" means that he met this girl in his dreams and she is everything he ever wanted, yet she is only a dream therefore she isnt real. It also works with the line "She is something in me, that I despise"

FM Fountaine is right, it his imagination ("She isn't real, I can't make her real")

But i think it has somthing to do with him being a mental patient or the girl in his head is somone he knows in real life that he cant have.

In part 1 he loves her but hates loving her, so he kills her, in part 2 he feels lonley and regrets killing her. Amazing Song....Really

Stunning. | Reviewer: Slipknot's Guitar Pick. | 7/25/07

This song is amazing. It was one of the first Slipknot songs I ever heard, and I absolutely love it. The dark lyrics really fit nicely with the mood and sound of the song. Damn, do I wish I could write like this..

Truly a great song, it has a powerful message that many people can relate to... I'm 14, and this song captures all my emotions and puts it into a song... I can relate to many if not all of slipknot's songs, but I can relate mostly to this because of the story behind it of lost love...
