... I wanted to be judged, I would sit in my room, listening to Slipknot, telling them what a piece of shit I was, hoping for a reply.. Never got it, went crazy, the media sucks, and everything will stay the same, nothing changes... Everything relates to another, and someday I hope things get better, destroying to corporate world...

I think that the biggest issue here it that a lot of people look at someone who listens to slipknot, or metal/shock-rock in general, and judge their entire being. Music genre will always help express who we are, but it certainly does not give a definitive image of a person; it is only PART of that person's character.

If you ask a Slipknot fan if they've ever blasted the music nonchalantly to make a point or impress someone, and they say no, then you've found a rare species of fan. But never has someone blared the music and intended to have themselves judged. It's an aid to personality, not an all-encompassing, characteristic monger.

I think this debate should be labeled "Music-ism."
Just like the issues with race that have appeared in America's history, music is causing people to be judged. Even worse, it's making the youth that are part of the culture feel forced to adapt a view and behavior that is only prevalent to the over-publicized and negative-acting fans. Violence and disrespect become common traits, because it is what the media focuses on, and therefore, what the younger generation sees.

I would also like to point out, to those who consider metal fans barbarians, or illiterates, that metal is indeed the music of geniuses. A study done by The National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth shows that "A disproportionate number of bright students listen to metal."
Essentially, the majority of intellectual youths living in this age list metal as their prefered music type. Slipknot is one of the best bands in the world! Anyone who thinks differently should be beaten with a damn stick. I am a full blown Christian and I have researched every Slipknot song I listen to and none of them are satanic so any Christian/Catholic or whatever person goes on here and says it is, is going to hell for lying.

Listen any Exremely Religious people saying tht I will go to hell for saying Fuck or Shit, and listening to Slipknot. Let's set this straight. I'm a Satanist, and Slipknot is not full of satanic messages. Real satanism is about belief that religion is a hindrance to creating a Utopia in this world. Other than that, it's just Atheism. This song is absolutely awesome, but could any of Jesus' bitches show me where the Satanic messages are? Thought not.

Yeah slipknot arn't satanic , a lot of the time they will have the satanic star or something but this is actually to convert those that follow the devil to a better cause. If you pay attention to their lyrics they talk about things from a depressed point of view, i have heard hundreds of people talk about how they used to be depressed and at the edge of suicide, then they listened to Slipknot and their life turned around. I can tell you that at the end of a frustrating and exhausting day, theres nothing I like more than playing video games while listening to Slipknot over the top of it.

This is supposed to be reviews on the song "Spit it Out" Not a forum for flaming each other. I enjoy slipknot and their lyrics and their meanings. If you bothered to listen to the lyrics you will understand what the song is actually meant to mean to people. Some christians who hear this, judge it immediately. What are you ? First of all am christan and go to church and I can assure you that slipknot is not anti-religious or anti-Christ and if I'm correct I heard Chris Phen state that he is christian and corey is agnostic witch means that he is not sure that there are any gods and that has nothing to do with being anti-Christ or satanic so there is really no need in saying that the are satanic but you can argue all you want because I know I am right......
