Last yr. I was goin thru a toughtime @ school, then I met this girl, & we like clicked, ya know, & I fell in love w/ her, she found out . It didnt end well...4 me at least not 2 sure about her 'cause me & her dont talk 2 each other anymore. Its been kinda hard to fall in love ever since I stopped loving her, so in a since I'm scared 2 ya no hurt ppl, so yh it hasent been the same since I went out w/ her friend 4 a couple of day while she was gone. Love sucks (sometimes)

this is a powerful song when i first heard it..it hit me hard..and wouldent you know it my x of 5 years called me telling me that she mist me and wanted me back but the thing is she was married to the man she was cheeting on me with.... i could not do it anymore i told her to lisen to this song.and i after she told me im sorry i still love you i told her to just let me go.but the bitch never did

so i just heard this song tonight. and like the rest of you i can relate. you see, im in a relationship but my feelings for my man have completely shifted since i started seeing a friend of a friends. He's an amazing guy who's own relationship sucks....his girls got cancer...i love the kid more then i love my own boyfriend.

this song is obviously about someone he was really close to... and it sounds like she betrayed him somehow ("you sold me out to save yourself") and he was/is really deeply hurt.. but then in the end he is able to push her away because he cant forgive her for the pain she has caused... thats just what it seems like...

"if you still care dont ever let me know" thats like.. one of the most powerful lines i have heard.. this song has actually brought me to tears before.. which is really rare...

This is my favourite song and I can totaly relate to it....
I loved this guy...and well I still do...but well I can't tell him because we are friends and I don't want to hurt him if it ended...its so hard and I feel like I am pushing him away because of it all...
This song so so beautiful, yet dark..it is unlike any love song I've ever heard...and well it made me cry...it's good to know someone else out there is like me

I can't exactly relate to this song. I love a girl, who doesn't love me back.... its been 2 and 1/2 years since I last had a relationship, and now I'm pretty sure I know my feelings and whatnot.... and I really don't want to be alone now..... if I was in a totally depressive mood, I would cry to this song.... and only one other song in the world has got better of my emotions; Vermilion.....

In the ever changing world Slipknot still amazes me on every level. I just lost my Mom recently and been dealing with personal emotions and struggles for years now. This song touches every part of that and its such a powerful song. It is one of my favorites off the new album. I am a Maggot and all of Slipknots music has helped me cope, but this song has so much power behind it and I just love it.

this song is about what im going through now and its good to now that there are other people out ther that feel the same. iv cried countless times to this song and will never forget it. this song has probably saved my life more then any other.

this song is about how he and a girl are in love but she left him. and he is still in deep love with her but is sad beyond control. he wish's he never met her back then so he wouldent have to feel this way now. and is scared bcouse he feel's if she doesnt run away he might kill her.

This song is an amazing song and I love it. But it confuses me sometimes because someone once told me it makes him think of me when we were fighting. And he is my best friend. Ive known him for quite some time and I trust him. And now when I listen to it I think of him everytime I do. And i can relate and i think this guy can't come clean with his feelings and he wants the girl out of his life cuz hes afraid that he ll fail.

Well, this song is the song I have to sing to myself as I cry after every broken heart that I get. Because it's got the heart broken lyrics, but it's kinda got the spiteful "I don't want you in my life anymore" hatred that I feel afterwards.

Such a beautiful and conflicting song, and such a dark side to love that the media rarely describes. He is so bitter, broken, and wounded he feels afraid to let her see that side of him, because he knows that his brokeness will affect how he loves her, he will end up hurting her worse, he is also so afraid of being hurt again. Love has the power to lift you up so high, or to break you entirely.

Why is the "narrator" so afraid to love her? Love IS hurt, its ugly and brutal and beautiful. How can you fail in love? By not having the balls to try to love. He clearly loves her. He doesn't want to hurt her, or destroy her. "Flee from me, so I can't fail you" is essentially what he's saying. And he's selling her short, by thinking she can't handle his brokenness, his bitterness. I just hope whoever "she" is, she has the strength to love him and be patient with his insecurity.
