my sister used to listen to slipknot going to sleep, i thought she was crazy tbh! The past couple of weeks all i've done is listen to Slipknot, BFMV and Paramore, i've always been obsessed with Paramore, but like, Slipknot, didn't expect to start listening to them, they're AMAZING!
slipknot = bamfs | Reviewer: amp | 1/8/09
this song is amazing.
the video just blows me away.
slipknot has a way of provoking so much intensity in their songs. in their lyrics. it's hard not to relate to any one of them.
this song (to me) is clearly about the corruption in today's society and the different emotions that war causes. keep effin rockin slipknot.
SCREW | Reviewer: me!!!!! | 12/10/08
everyone who says slipknot is a satan-worshiping cult needs to be screwed by a mentally-challenged person!!! (i kno, lame to use mentally-challenged, but retard is politically incorrect) slipknot is an awesome band!!! LET"S REBUILD OUR GOD DAMN SOCIETY!!!!
great song! | Reviewer: Ashlee | 11/29/08
Love this song.Love Corey's growls.Love its meanings and everything. This is an awesome song.
@all of y'all saying that this song is Satanic and all: This song isn't Satanic!I'm Christian myself actually and I like Slipknot. This song's about Iraq War and all that stuff going on in our fucked up society. Not about the religion.
satanic | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/16/08
They have a message against society and government and all of the bad shit than happens in this world. But: JJ wears a thorn crown like Jesus did, and i believe than in the video a head with a thorn crown appears with flames in the background and i don't think that's JJ. It seems like a mockery of Christ. They do not worship Satan, their style (not necesarily the masks) is kind of satanic, but they have mentioned it's only for show (people being afraid and so on). i don't believe they are satanic but why a whole lot of the maggots are talking about satan and all other satanic shit. also eeyore is CLEARY a satanic song, even more than the heretic anthem. They still rock, but if they say they are not satanic, they shouldn't do any more songs against christianity.
you guys are stupid | Reviewer: anthny | 11/3/08
How could you know what religion a band is when they say that they get there power from Satan in one article then in a interview on TV they said that they are Christan and they are really devoted to that religion when they are always lying about there religion. so shut the fuck up you retards go and do research all you want but you will get many different answers.
this song is sweet! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/5/08
this song kicks ass and who acctually gives a shit if they where satanic? i listen to bands for the music not the religion and if you hate this band because you may think they are satanic then your hiding behind the words of a fake god i have never really had a religion if anyone cares i believe in no such thing as a god but if i can be proved otherwise go ahead and try
you're good! | Reviewer: lindsay | 11/2/08

War | Reviewer: Mushka | 10/29/08
I think this may be the only song i like by slipknot but i truly think that the real focus of it is the US involvement in the middle east and all the troops that have been lost or affected by that war. Im not sure if anyone has seen the movie STOPLOSS or knows the meaning of it but i think it relates a lot to this song, some troops are losing their motive in the war not believing in the cause of it or what they are truly fighting for....hence the phrase "your purple hearts are giving out" meaning that the value of the purple heart is being depreciated by the lack of value of the war for which it is being awarded for surving in. The line "there are cracks in the road we lay, but where the temple(devil? fell, the secrets have gone mad, this is nothing new, but when we killed it all, the hate was all we had" may mean that the road we lay or the stories the government told to get the war going and the steps we took in doing so has cracks in it or lies in it, it is hard to see and for everyone to agree as to the real reason we are over in the middle east, for some troops the only reason to fight becomes hate for the enemy? because the real reasons have become unclear. Watch STOPLOSS and see if u can relate.
on not liking slipknot after Vol.3 | Reviewer: Laura | 10/29/08
A lot of people stopped caring for slipknot after that album because they got lighter. What a lot of people do not realize is the reason why they did. Maybe it was because of the record label (most common reason a band goes softer) but they main reason was because Cory's lungs almost collapsed on him. He is in two bands that require a lot of singing, not to mention his level of smoking he has claimed as another reason they almost collapsed. So if you didn't like it cause the music wasn't as hard, your fucking stupid. The lyrics were just as insightful and brutal as ever.
I'm about to blast all you ass holes saying this is about religion. | Reviewer: Laura | 10/29/08
Ok so apparently none of you can open a dictionary. If you would have opened one you would have seen that psychosocial is the psychological study of how social conditions effect us mentally. How they can change our views and behaviors. I just went over this in my psychology class last week. This song goes along with it's title. It i talking about our society and how it is basically falling apart and how all the lies of big company's are coming out. Also, it deal with the issue of the war. The background in the video is the bands symbol, not a satanic symbol. As far as satanic goes, you probably don't even know that the religion doesn't even actually have anything to do with Satan. The whole religion is about indulging in Christianities so called "sins". It is not about following Satan. Satanist don't even believe in Hell. So get your shit right before you post a comment that is completely stupid.
Crazy Lyric people, lol | Reviewer: J-Rad | 10/29/08
Hey, any song or story has a different message for everyone. What you think the song means could be totally different from another person. The only person who truly knows what the material means is the artist who wrote the material. Sometimes, even they don't know what it means. lol So enough arguments and chill out. Nobody is right. Now don't you feel stupid! :)
