SlipKnoT is my life granit im only12 but its the only thing that keeps my head up and keeps a smile on my face. i live n a split family and its really hard on me switching and SlipKnoT is the only thing that keeps me almost ALIVE! i know ppl can say wtf y are people obsessed its only music but to some ppl its actually a part of them and it will always stick with them for the rest of their lifes. My Plague, Pshycosocial, Befor I Forget, Sulfur, Dead Memories,Spit It Out,Prelude 3.0, Butchers Hook, Snap, Vermillion (all versons counting terry date), Duality... you name it andits in my lyrics notebook. i grew up in a place where nobody knew what slipknot was untill i got to middle school and only 2 ppl know wat slipknot is and the best part is that were all girls :) i have a big story but follow me on fb @ Nana Re :) ty- R.I.P. I love to write and I am a English minor at UvU. In my opinion the truly evocative and astounding sense of their vocabulary is what peaks my interest. They do have meaning, but every song has some kind of message. What separates a lyrical artist from an average song writer is the word choice and word play. The emotional prominence in their words and how they play off your internal emotions is what sets them apart as a truly ambitious band.

Its Funny How the Haters Call Bands like Slipknot, Bullet for my valentine and Lamb of God "Screamo" but they fail to realise that Screamo is not REal, its a made up word for people call something they don't understand.

I've been listening to Slipknot since the beginning. I was 3 when they first started out, and let me tell you, they really influenced me.

They have given me a sense of self purpose, and confidence in myself.

Slipknot's alright, however, it is widely known that they are not accidental bonobo musicians. To delve into the topic of ABMitis, one might have to consider the experimentation of antibiotics. It was an accident. Thus, the conclusion to my meaningful hypothesis is that they aren't good because they don't rely on making music by accident, instead, they know how to write music. Piss off.

Slipknot is an epic and and they always find ways to impress all of us and occasionally the "haters" now haters just keep it to yourself if you hate this band then mention one thing but don't sit there and beatit in like a dead horse! although i wish Slipknot would go back to their older style of music because their newest album (all hope is gone) was a rather disappointment to me.

Why would anyone want to call such a powerful and great band like Slipknot gay or anything as low as that? WHY?
I used to hate bands like it as a kid. Today, I probably owe Corey and the crew a kidney or something for rescuing my life.

I've been listening to slipknot not to long ago around 2-3 years ago. I love every song from them and it's impossible to choose a favorite. I always get the message they're sending to us maggots. Those haters that just call Slipknot a gay emo screamo band don't give themselves a chance to see and hear the true meaning Slipknot us here for, they've been here for 10 years helping us get through life with their music.

I can see why you'd assume this, what a very good suggestion - also some support to this is where he sings "I know why you blame me (yourself)" - yes, very good observation. This song now takes a whole new meaning for me... :)
