Paul Simon and Bruce Woodley wrote this not Neil Diamond. Simon and Garfunkel sang the best version of it as well.
Trans-sister's radio | Reviewer: Brent E. Engle | 8/30/2007
I never knew until pulling up the lyric here, that
the song was about the end of a relationship. The case in point, as for my personal investigation. I
rarely understand lyrics 'cause my brain's focused
largely on the music. Once I hear the words wrong
I find it hard making them out for YEARS...
But, as to R.R.B: I remember playing with my toys & listening for this, a little boy on my sister's
white-vinyl cased transistor AM radio. Remaining
a favorite for 90% of my life. Simon says it's a
Diamond, and I don't care. Just FINDING antiques
like a REAL ball is the next nostalgic pursuit.

This song was written by Neil Diamond not Simon and Garfunkel
Big Surprise | Reviewer: Artie | 6/25/2006
I had no idea that S and G wrote and sang this one. One of my all-time favorites.

This true gem only came to light for me in the last 5 years. A true S&G accousticclassic. It also transforms well to the punk revivalist genre of Eggchair.
A real treat at the end of a dull film( Dodgeball).
UNDERRATED | Reviewer: Frankie D. | 9/15/2005
A very underated S&G song. Most people don't even know they wrote it.The Cyrcle did a good job also.
