The Reviews about Vanity And Greed (page 1/1)
------ performed by Silverstein

I disagree | Reviewer: Corey | 9/29/09

I just saw Silverstein live, and while at first, Shane needed to find his voice, after that, he was wonderful, and his screaming voice never 'gave out.' Anyways... wasn't too impressed with this album at first, but it grew on me. Good solid rock album. I'm glad A Shipwreck in the Sand saw them go back to a more hardcore sound.

You do know that bands record take after take until they hit the notes and do the screaming and singing separately, yeah? And use ProTools to get the pitches exactly right. I've seen Silverstein live and even though I love them, Shane can't switch between singing and screaming easily, can't hit some high notes perfectly and his voice gives out most of the time when he screams anyway.

Vanity & Great!!! | Reviewer: DFM | 7/15/07

This is definately one of the best songs on the brand new silverstein album. Lyrically, its well written and it sounds great to with the constant changes in the riffs. As for shane told's voice, this song must have been a challenge for him and he's pulled it off superbly as the screams and the high notes are perfect. well done silverstein.
