shane told wrote this song about john beatz of bayside. john died in a car wreck in colorado, the line in the song
"An icy road with no remorse.
A metal box drifting off course is taking everything.
I can't believe we lost you"
an icy road, the highway that they were on had been snowed on and was bad weather. and a metal box drifting, that would be the van.
he was a extremely great friend to silverstein and pretty much all the bands of this genre. and it was a terrible loss. but bayside didnt quit or just forget him, for quiet a while, they didnt replace him, they went to acoustic and released a cd.
its a wonderful song, and it should mean alot to anybody who has lost somebody dear to them.
amazing song | Reviewer: jazzamin | 12/7/2007
i like this song, it reminds me of casey calvert. he died a little after this cd came out. i remember crying listening to this song, thinking about him. not because im so stupid obsessed emo kid, but because he died so young, that could happen to anyone. its crazy i don't know how or if hawthorne heights will recover. the song is so meaningful especially if you've lost someone.
