Whats wrong with you christians? | Reviewer: Annoyed | 2/14/07
I'm not going to argue about what the lyrics is about, Im just feeling sick at you all idiots that complains at her for singing about how she's feeling and thinking.
I dont belive in God but here it sounds like I should talk shit about everyone that talks about there feelings for him or her or WTF it is.
And just so that the slowest idiots understands, Im NOT talking about all christians. Just about the idiots that seems to think that they're the only ones that are allowed too talk out loud, because an atheist isn't allowed to?
Dont know if shakira is religious or not, but thats not anyone elses buisness.
what is it this time? | Reviewer: ali | 2/23/07
i think it's a good song. i mean, considering she's asking questions of Him Himself. it's kinda wierd to write a song about it; but on the other hand, it is kinda cool. she did have the bravery to write an outstanding song and put her true feelings to the world. but she should've made it a little more clear why she asked 'How many people die and hurt in your name? Does it make you proud or does it bring a shame?'. Shakira, i think you popped the limit a bit. but what would God ask you? think of it
hmmm questions? | Reviewer: doedoe181 | 2/4/07
i think this is a good song. i know some people say "omg this is evil!" or "how could Shakira sing this???" well, this is questions that we could all ask or wonder about. and... well... i think we all believe in God and she's just thinking about all the things that happened in the world and asks "how do you feel about the world?" "how is it like to be you?" "why is the world like this?" and simply questions that you'd have to admit, not only her would think. sometimes you wonder how it's like to be in someone else's place... but i think this song explains a lot.
Nothing wrong with asking questions? | Reviewer: lizzy | 7/8/06
You shouldn't hate her for wondering. Not everyone in our world is a believer, (and are bound to ask questions about your faith) and you should respect that. Have u honestly never wondered the same questions Shakira is asking? She wasn't exactly condeming him, she was basically saying out loud what the rest of us think. I believe in God (and Shakira claims she does as well) but i can understand perfectly why someone would find it hard to understand any fixed faith. Don't hate her for it, you should keep an open mind on the topic, unlike in the Middle East where the song has been banned. It's a thought-provoking song which is rare from a modern artist today, and that i think is better than singing about pathetic smoochy love songs!
who is she? | Reviewer: Sasha | 7/9/06
I have never checked up on what Shakira´s beliefs were before, but now I wonder who she really is. To hear this song made me sad because I believe in Jesus and as any friend feels when somebody attacks who you love, I felt her attacking me. What her song says ain´t nothing new to hear, there is lots of people who complain to God about what´s happening in the world. But well, I don´t have a reason to judge anyone. I just know that we have freedom to believe what we want to and the power to change suffering into peace and even joy.

Open your eyes assholes!!! | Reviewer: Shoes | 5/31/06
Look, all you people saying, "Ugh, what an evil song" or "Shakira, I don't like you now" need to take their head out of their asses. This song, like Timor, is about the current state of our world. What happens out of our homes that the government doesn't want us to know. It's about how nothing is perfect right now, and we need to stop being so ecotistic and self absorbed and open our eyes to the real world. the things, the terrible things that go on in this world. Shakira wrote a song about it. Listen to it, realize what's wrong with us, and actually do something about it. If you hate these songs, then why don't you try to stop the source you greedy pigs.
Hypocrite? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/22/06
"you are not much better then our ancestors who would burn alive whoever didn’t believe or even question God’s ways. Go ahead throw the first match …and then go quietly to the nearest church to ask for forgiveness…hypocrites!"
Perhaps you should look up hypocrite in the dictionary. It seems to me that while you were so busy standing up for the rights of the unChristian, you were condemning the Christians. If you respect shakira's religious beliefs and believe so much in the freedom to persue one's own religion, then you should take into account that Christianity is a religion too.
Before you go around accusing other people of being hypocritical you should take a look at what you're preaching.

SHAME ON YOU............ | Reviewer: DISSAPIONTED | 2/1/06

this is a great song | Reviewer: Rachel | 1/16/06
this is a really good song, i think my favorite on the album. it really made me think about things, unlike most songs out there about going to clubs and how great people look and how much money you have. people need to examine their beliefs regardless of religion, i think, or else you're just blindly believing in something, not because you really think its true. i am surprised that singers out there can still make lyrics as good as this.
