I heard this song for the first time;; my bf introduced it to me as a 'love moment,' you know those, and when I got home I looked up the lyrics and realized this is a horribly sad song which makes me want to grope the band our of love <3 and respect. Which is why I won't actually grope them.
Excellent band, concept, delivery. Original light to an over-done subject.
This song. | Reviewer: Nigga | 4/1/09
Expertly written, but the Axis fucking rocked.
The winners write the history books kids, Soviet Russia killed just as many Jews as the Reich.
And even though Hitler was evil and all, you do have to admit, he killed A LOT of Jews.

The video is cute, b/c its about two little kids. But the real meaning behind this song is sad. The Holocaust is the one of the worst things that ever happened in history.
I do like the song though.
please read and understand | Reviewer: Eliza | 3/20/09
my friend had shown me some reviews on youtube about this song. some people thought that this was a happy song that made them want to dance. and that just pissed me off! how can you dance of the thought of two lovers being separated at a death camp where nazis killed millions of people. i think that not only is this rude, insensitive, and insulting but also showing that people need to be more vocal about what hapend years ago! if we dont who knows what will happen to generations to come. maybe more people will be exterminated... my grandparents went to the death camps and survived by some miracle, yet still half of their family died. i was unable to meet almost half of their family because of people prejudices. people have to understand the harsh reality that world is not that safe of a place and there are still people who believe that the people who were targeted during the Holocaust should be killed once more, it just infuriates me when people do not understand the hardships that anti semitism can cost because now they live in a perfect little world!
Amazing | Reviewer: Manya | 3/18/09
This song is beautiful and poetic, and paints an amazing picture of how a couple won't let their love be torn by the hate that brought about the European Holocaust. Even though my own grandmother was not so lucky to have her love make it through the Holocaust (her first husband and young son), this song shows an almost bright side to the horrifying tragedy of the Holocaust, that people did make it through, and that love prevailed for Jews, homosexuals, and so many others targeted for something they couldn't help.
Just for some clarification, the music video does NOT show what the song is talking about, it is either a young boy and a girl or two girls at a summer camp, because Say Anything believed that it would be too much to add graphic pictures to their already tough subject.
Yes. | Reviewer: Sydney | 3/4/09
The idea of having some form of happiness, like a lover, to keep one fighting through the torture of this immense genocide would have probably been the ultimate way to stick it to the man, or rather, Hitler and his officers, in that time and situation. Thank you, Say Anything for this beautiful work of art.

Don't be stupid. | Reviewer: Fuckin' Duh | 1/29/09
The real story on this?
It's about the lead singers grandparents making it through the second world war. They fell in love as kids and got separated and ended up finding each other when it was all over. It's actually pretty heart melting.
lol... tHIS IS A SONG ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST | Reviewer: jred13137@yahoo.com | 1/21/09
Joshua... how do you know it's not about 2 girls... it very well could be, and probably is. This song is about WW2 and the gays/jew/anything other than arian that were taken from their homes and put in concentration camps... check out the green room video... he explains the song. He doenst mention it being 2 girls but tell us all that it's about the germans attacking helpless people and how two people were in love and stripped of it...
IT'S NOT ABOUT TWO GIRLS YOU IDIOTS. | Reviewer: Joshua | 1/16/09
Ok this is one of Say Anything's best songs and nowhere in the video or the lyrics does it reference it being about two girls that are in love with each other. Even in the video it just a boy with long hair. I love this song along with almost all of the songs by Say Anything, but some of you people must think every song is about someone being gay or something.
