I adore. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/28/08
Say Anything is one of my favorite bands.I completely adore this song, suply because of the straightforwardness of it, and the blunt context. The same idea as south park, in the sense that That can virtually 'say sanything' and there is no contreversy. Although, some less educated people may not understand most of the voccabulary of this song, which could become a minor setback to their rise.

Honestly, As much as I enjoy looking for a deeper meaning in lyrics, I'd much rather just enjoy the music for what it is..Amazing melodys and riffs and vocals..Music ladies and Gentlemen..Music pure and simple.

This band is such a brilliant group, they actually try to make sense, and they don't devote their music to MUSIC specifically. They put a point out in the open, make it really blunt, and tell the world that all the bullshitting they do every day is and has been so repetitive throughout history that it becomes pointless in the end. I love the way they express themselves through their songs though. They make it obvious and funny at the same time. Love it. :D

the song has slightly a good message.
but doesnt the song imply to speak out against discrimination?
and doesnt the song single out a certain type of crowd?
some people should listen to this
but who is to say that people with some of these qualities are like so?
i dont really favor this song.

My favorite part of the whole song is when the piano comes it. It makes me think of someone driving off a cliff, but they're happy about it. Like it's their only way to escape from all of the mundane bullshit that we go through every day.

I don't think I've ever heard this song, but the lyrics make a good point, although the flowery speech strikes me as what you're all calling "pretentious."
I don't think I've ever heard of any Say Anything songs.
Ahahaha.

You've all become those he is singing about because you think you know it, think what you have to say is right and Max should be your bestfriend.

everyone who's saying that "this song is exactly WHAT they're singing about." Obviously it is. Max Beemus did that on purpose to be ironic and funny while still making an excellent point.. can you really not see that?

The really great thing about this song is that, despite being about pretension and hypocrisy, it is so unabashedly pretentious. The irony is delicious.
Amazing. | Reviewer: madison | 9/16/07
Yeah, this song expresses such a good point, and one that a lot of people don't usually consider. The point being that those people who try so hard to be non-comforming individuals just become as conforming as the people they hate. That TRYING to be different has the complete opposite effect. And that when all of you "individuals" look at those you consider mindless conformists with a sort of, "Wow, we're so much better because we don't follow society's standards and expectations" attitude, you're just as bad as they are.
To me, this song says, grow up, stop trying, and just live.
