"I believe what they meant by that line is that when you're truly in love (presumably you're truly in love with the person you marry...) you don't feel the need to be naked or have sex to feel important and/or beautiful. I know a lot of girls that have sex casually because it makes them feel better about themselves.."
Quoted from above..
if some one needs to "sleep around" to feel better about themselves then they have issues period

Replying to this:
I think the 'first line' response is right about the meaning of the line "I believe the sun should never set upon an argument", but I think it's also a reference to a bible verse. Not sure which one, though. The one I don't get is: "I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed".

This is the best song i have ever heard due to the meaning off the lyrics.
i think all th lyrics are 100% true and holds some key reasons, why the world is such a bad place.
best lyrics:
I belive the strugle for financial freedom isnt fair
I belive the only ones who disagree are millionaires..
( now this is true for normal people who struggle to make ends meet, always wishing that they were millionaires.)
I belive the sun should never set upon an argument.
(reason being is if you argue, and say you fall asleep, and in the morning the person you argued with died, you can never appolgise..)
Best SONG EVER >>> Thumbs up SG

"I believe the sun should never set upon an argument".
My grandfather used to tell us that..the reason is because you never know what will happen the next day. And if you go to bed mad..you will feel bad about having that last argument..and never geting the chance for appoligizing.

first line. | Reviewer: Kate | 2/18/08
The first line, "I believe the sun should never set upon an argument" means not to end the day on a bad note. At least that is my judgment on the lyric alone. But then again... I believe we are all entitled to our own opinion as long as we defend ourselves.
yay! | Reviewer: Rachel | 2/2/08
i used to jump on my bed shouting the lyrics to this song when i was younger..but one thing i've never understood is the first lyric: "i believe the sun should never set upon an argument". what does that mean??
