It was just what I needed to hear at the time. I was feeling sadness and worry about his situation, wondering if I and my siblings are doing the right thing for him (since our mom died of cancer last year). The words to Little Wonders are comforting to me every time I hear them--they help push away the feelings of sadness, loss, guilt, questioning and worry. The song helps me feel calm on days when I'm stressed about fitting in time for Dad and time for my husband, three kids and work. I don't know what Rob Thomas intended as the meaning behind his words, but "Time falls away, but these small hours still remain" speaks to the world of someone touched by Alzheimers disease.
