It was the catalyst for so many cool events that followed, including seeing the band live, and catapulting a young friendship to a higher level, leading to even more friendships and a roommate! Having said all that, as a musician and audio engineer I just appreciate the simple perfection of this record. Jenny beautfully delivers the perfect hook over a perfect arrangement. It does everything my favorite songs do. And I don't remember when I loved an album as much as "More Adventurous." "Portions" is the tip of the iceberg. These guys know how to write.
