Yet another uninspired "3 minute diddy" we are forced to reach over and change the station for. Unfaithful is more-or-less a short story about the weakness of the human heart and the limited ability of those who act without consequence.

Only the weak would be able to identify with a song that reinforces the "whoa is me" I can't help what I do mentality. It's not a perfect world, and it's a real weakness people are inflicted with and inflict upon each other. So in that sense, I suppose it's "real" regardless of the message. All and all, it's not very well performed, and is more like a album filler so many artists today produce to up the track number.
"I don't want to hurt him anymore".... Ok so don't, make a decision and control yourself, then find something else to sing about.

I love this song and this is one of the prettiest songs ive heard ever. Rihanna has a beautiful voice, a talent she uses to sing about whatever she wants and whatever she feels. Since the first time I heard the song I would always sing to it. It would always make me sing because I always thought that rihanna's songs were good and she is a good singer.

This song bugs me. It seems like there are so many songs coming out recently dealing with cheating or thinking about cheating. This is just one more for the pile of unimaginative bull. It’s not touching; it’s despicable! She doesn’t even come to a real conclusion in the song. She just keeps complaining about how she feels guilty, but she never actually says, “I’m going to stop this.” That’s weak. The character she portrays in this song is weak from beginning to end. To think, so many people are saying they can relate to this song. What does that say about societies values these days?

i just love the piano in this song it is really beautiful and the whole melody is very well done ,
about the lyric ..well some got a point when they say if you don't wanna hurt him don't cheat !
But i think it is like with drugs ..she just cannot stop seeing this other guys even though she knows how much she actually hurt his heart , how she slowly "murders" him with her acting.

I really don't get the point. The vocals try to show some sincere emotion but the predicament is completely uninteresting, and frankly lacks credibility. If you feel bad about cheating, stop doing it; no need to start whining about it in a little black dress.

Everyone is focusing on her cheating on him. But earlier in the song, she says they have something more than love; its the reason the sky is blue. This line is so true for that once in a lifetime love. But unfortunately for him, she really doesn't feel the connection like he does. Otherwise, not only would she be faithful, she wouldn't even notice other guys. Its killing him, but he is still there for her, even knowing what she's doing. It is the kind of love that he would die for her. She isn't worth it, she doesn't deserve it. It is his most precious gift.

Great song because it reflects often unequal love from real life! Rihanna's delivery in the song and video are so convincing.
