Relient K is an incredible group! They don't have dirty mouths, they have great melodies without it being monotonous like most punk groups, and, best of all, they have wonderful messages in the lyrics and have a strong connection with Christ. The music is awesome too: lots of guitar, but I think they could add a little more bass. And the drums aren't just a steady beat - they've got flava while still keeping the beat. I was introduced to them by a friend at camp that sang Sadie Hawkins Dance for me. I went and bought the cd after camp was done and I can't stop listening to them. They are sweet but I don't like that they are being seen as punk-pop insted of christian music. They have awesome messages in their songs. If you dont have their cd's go buy them it's worth it. I really wish that they did not appear on the radio or anything, because it feels almost like i've lost a part of them. I loved keeping them to myself as my own little band to love!!! But now they're getting popular and theres not one person who doesn't know of them... I loved them in concert in Philadelphia, with SwitchFoot opening for them, and in Lancaster where they opened for Five Iron Frenzy. I have like every song from every CD memorized-(hehe yeah- it's that addicting!). I am a Christian, and it is REALLY important to me that the music I listen to has good lyrics. Well, Relient K has it all. Sweet drums, guitars,(Oh man those are like the best- they do SO much awesome stuff and I try to drum to it all- yeah right they are way too good!;) ), singing, and they have AWESOME lyrics. They are very worshipful and fun at the same time. My friends and I all have like every one of the CD's and they never get old! Actually just this afternoon I was listening to some of the older CDs that I have and It was seriously so much fun! lol well you'll love them if you like Hawk Nelson, FM Static, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Kutless. The best way to describe it is fun music with a message. There is also quite a variety of songs: from the upbeat all-fun song "Mood Rings" to slower, passionate "Getting into You" there are songs for everyone, no matter what you like in music.
