The Reviews about Yertle The Turtle (page 1/1)
------ performed by Red Hot Chili Peppers
WTF | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/25/09
To the first reviewer, please, PLEASE get a brain. Yertle the Turtle is from a Dr. Seuss book published in 1958. Long before video games were around. And that "mix of rock/rap" is called funk rock. So if you would kindly do a little research before you post next time, it's be great. :P
quick question... | Reviewer: Dr. Seuss | 8/27/08
hello, my name is Dr. Seuss and i was just wondering why you chose my book "yertle the turtle" to make a song about.
but what more troubles my mind is why you choose to finish the song short. if u will have read my book you would have noticed that yertle the turtle falls from his turtle stack after Mack burps, thus releasing the turtles from the thrown stack letting them be free as "turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be."
P.S. love all ur other stuff though. Fortune Faded = best song ever
Chili Funk! | Reviewer: Dylan Garner | 6/21/07
One of the best funk songs the Chili Peppers have ever released, especially the live version called Yertle Trilogy (Yertle + Freaky Styley + P-Funk's Cosmic Slop) which is also incredible.
Great funkadelic song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/15/07
Yertle the Turtle is a truly original song for the Chili Peppers, combining a video game character with a mix of rock/rap.
