You're not looking close enough... | Reviewer: The Good Reverend | 7/5/09
This song is about how the government and mega corporate conglomerates are programming our minds via subliminal messages. This lyrics are referring to mind control tactics that are used to dumb down our entire country via ad campaigns and television/movie story lines. It is also referencing plagues/viruses and how it's "a repeat" - specifically man made viruses "Swine Flu" "HIV/AIDS" which were all created in labs to intentionally infect innocent people around the world through vaccinations. Do your research kids, if you think that obesity is the biggest thing wrong with this country you've got another thing coming. Infowars.

David hit it right on the spot. It literally means THROW AWAY YOUR *(&(*& TELEVISION. and it's a reapeat meaning that this is not the first time artists/musicians/modern day shamans have been trying to tell us this. There's a song like this from incubus titled IDIOT BOX.
well.. | Reviewer: Becki Chamberlain | 5/25/09
i think this song is referring to addiction. because many people are addicted to watching tv, and as many know, anthony had a drug addiction, so i think that hes saying, "throw away your addiction, because what your doing is just a repeat, and it's getting old, " because he went to rehab severaal times, but just began to use again.
I think it means more than that... | Reviewer: David | 10/27/08
I don't think it's about obesity or fitness, RHCP are usually a bit deeper than that... i think it's more the creative/intellectual/spiritual damage that most (not all) TV does to your mind and your thoughts...
What this means | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/12/08
I'm not %100 sure if this is correct, but it could seem like a pretty accurate description. First of all, this is an absolutely brilliant song and I love the solo, makes me just like... ohmg what a song. But yes I believe this song refers to the health epedemic of America, as they eat more and they become obese, they resort to television as a common pasttime. By getting rid of your sets, you can get out there and become fit again. Sorry I just really felt like telling someone this :D
