The Reviews about Nature of the Threat (page 2/ 2)
------ performed by Ras Kass

I think Rass Kass is an amazing rapper and I do think probably a lot of the history he portaying is true. But if he was as smart as he thinks he would realize he is being completely rascist himself. History cant be changed. I am a white man from england Im not going to be blamed for something somone of the same race did 100 years ago or somthin. When you are born into this world you dont know about past history so you are born innocent. I guess I must be the "evil, predator, white mutant" here to suppress all black people? well im not I love people of all races life too short to think in such an extreme way. chill out Rass

this is pure racism, imagine a white rapper dissing all blacks, then you dont like racism, well, Ras Kass is a NIGGER for me after listening this, like he wants to project himself, the other blacks i dont have problem as long their not racists, people we are ALL trying to survive, FUCK RACISM, and also FUCK HISTORY, its the today we live in, and tomorow will be tomorow

it's true white people come from Albinos. they are mutated humans beings. now what i find trully funny is that they got the whole world to hate the color black and call us cursed!?!

when in fact the white man is a curse. if you doubt what i'm saying look at their actions.

blacks can be racist, racism is a hatred of a race, so anyone can be racist, all your saying is that blacks cant be rascist because they hold no power in society, which isnt entirely true. but the theory of no races is interesting. and blacks as well as anyone can be rascist.

Im in an art history class right now... and studying these cultures, and they are almost near truths its crazy.

You missed the whole point! | Reviewer: Spirited | 9/22/07

Blacks can not be racist because racism is prejudice plus power. When we analyze the systemic, historical, political and economic power of whites it is clear that they have accumulutated so much power in the afore mentioned areas that they are still using this power to maintain the circle of power and world influence that they have. We all have power but that power is always in the context of the system. Rass challenged the system and for a lyric so "tight" and well delivered it was not mainstreamed- was there a video- national conversation. Why not? Rass didn't start talking about Blacks enslaving whites, committing genocide, and mistreating masses of whites and abusing people for money or land. He speaks much truth and encourages others to read more and search for furthur truth. I can't sit back and let white people continue to call black people racist knowing darned well of the systemic power they hold. Things are changing socially for the better in many ways between the races but that there needs to be a change is the biggest folly of human beings. There is no such thing as race but humans have accepted misinformation of the past through theories that were racist for the purpose of perpetuating white dominance. Someone might raise an eyebrow at that idea of no race among humans but moving past semantics think about were are all classified as human being its time we really started being in the image of God.There is really no us them but that scenario was created along time ago by human greed, envy, power, and ignorance. When will humankind realize that the world is not enough and man cannot live by bread alone?

Important! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/7/07

This is emblematic of truly classic material. Ras strongarms the ignorant masses and force-feeds knowledge and understanding pertaining to Original Man's socio and geo-political strife on a worldwide basis. This type of artistic endeavor should be maintained for the purpose of showing and proving to future generations the fact that hip hop itself, in it's truest form, is pure, raw and essential to the communication, history and progress of mankind. Ras Kass must be credited with having wrote one of the most socially important songs in history

Some valid points | Reviewer: jayofelony | 7/13/06

This is an interesting song listing some of the events taken place in history by the "white man." Some valid points are included but it seems at times that Ras is fighting racism with more racism. He will state a fact and then provide input that seems racist. All in all, though, a pretty solid song with a pretty solid message. Before I'd ever heard this song, I'd met Ras at an Eminem concert in St. Louis, and he gladly signed an autograph for me and seemed like a cool guy, and, being a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes, I didn't know what to expect when I was approaching him. -Jayo
