I've known a few lines but never really the whole song. Well, recently a friend at work has been using it in her jokes of teasing me about my height by singing it whenever I cant reach something. Now I have learned to take a joke and I can laugh with the best of them. So to be funny and show her I can take a joke I thought I'd look up the lyrics and print them out for her so she could sing me the whole song the "right" way. Well, I have to say after looking them up, I found the song downright nasty and offensive. They were absolutely mean, downgrading and offensive. What an awful,awful song. I am not just saying this because at 4ft. 11 I am short. I say this and would say this about ANY characteristic he could have picked to make fun of. Whether it be short, tall, fat, thin or whatever other trait he could have mocked he did itin a very mean, nasty, hurtful way. There is no humor in being so downright degrading and mocking of anyone and that kind of supposed "HUMOR" has no place in music or anywhere for that matter. It just shows how we are a society that finds it amusing to judge, ridicule and mock others who don't live up to our standards. And Randy Newman laughs at all of us all the way to bank when he cashes his royalty checks for this piece of garbage song.
