The Reviews about Political Science (page 2/ 2)
------ performed by Randy Newman

Wow | Reviewer: Who Cares | 9/4/05

This was a funny song, but the other reviews are harsh. Obviosly Newman ment it as a satire, but I dont think it was suppose to stir up these kinds of hatefull responses. Bush is doing a decent job, not great, not bad, Iraqis are not "bullet catchers," they are being given a chance to govern themselves for the first time in a long time, and this is the lasnd of the free, and the land of the brave, just because some people have money you assume that they are evil, corprate giants out to crush eveyone. The plain truth is that America and the world need poor people, middle class, and rich people. If everyone one were rich who would run our drive threws, dig your ditches, empty your sewers and portopotys? Would you do it? I think not. The horrible truth is that you want everyon to be "happy and prance with the flowers" but the truth is this world is a lot diffrent than your pot induced, hazy version of what the world should be, you dirty freakiing hippy.
Damn I hate Hippies and people who know not of what they speak. /sigh /collapse

I really believe the song "Political Science" is exactly the way the neocons think.

God Bless Randy Newman! | Reviewer: Sir Sefirot | 9/17/04

What a wonderful song! I have been listening it since I discovered it this afternoon, and I think I have fell in love ;) I'm really impressed because it's a song with so much truth in it, and it still sounds funny. I mean, I say this because the fact is that reality isn't funny at all. The world's so decadent that when I listen to this song, I feel like, "why not! let's do that", because I really think the world needs that someone stabs it in the face and then gives it a REAL lesson about politics, philosophy and Freedom. And that someone is America.

If there were more Randy Newman in the world, it would be such a great place to live.

God Bless America.

Karl Rove took it seriously | Reviewer: emma mackin | 7/17/04

The song that should be our national anthem, written as satire has become the nation's policy under George Bush. Orwell and Newman, weeping at being right. At least the few who get the joke can laugh.

Now go out and make a difference by making thes the land of the free and the home of the brave instead of the land of the wealthy and the home of the fear mongers who use Iraq citizens as bullet catchers so our mall shopping isn't interrupted.
