HYPOCRITES!? | Reviewer: CrazyBass | 11/23/09

Why do so many people criticize RATM for being hypocrites? I mean they are getting loads of messages across and who wouldnt choose to be rich given the opportunity? they still give millions to various causes, and somehow i think that they dont just want to just "Fuck chicks" (what a sad and shallow view! What about the sheer thrill of playing to huge audiences?!) and watever else, they do genuinely want a change in the world and what better way to do it than playing excellent music and conveying their political views through music that millions upon millions of people listen to? and if it earns them an excellent wage in the process then whats wrong with that? everyone is a hypocrite in their own ways - im sure anyone offered some big record deal and wads of money to become a big rock star would snatch the opportunity without question. RATM's messages have changed my political views drastically as i am sure it has many others. They do have a point, even if all they really want to do is "Fuck Chicks".

Face it no one gives a damn about truth and shit.no one makes music because he wants to show u what's really happens they all do it for money so they will be able to fuck some chicks.don't you ever try to find truths when listening to music..no one will tell you anything.the truth is that capitalism gives you the motivation to be a better man in every part of your life..

if a capitalist society makes a person feel like being a better person at the expense of others and causes suffering how can you feel better about yourself. what makes a person better money going to church the american dream? well the american dream corrupts the world and segregates its people causing thm to hate each other and to strike with war. killing innocence and glorifying greed to developing countries and cause a rift in their own countries thats the real truth. to find it we only need to ask about everything where do we get the stuff we get, what happens for the material good we use to be in our posession. we need to look further into our own lives to see how we are living off others pain and suffering. if anyone wants to contest this thats fine we all have our opinions we are individuals but i challenge you to see if you truely believe yorself or if its just a self defense, self preservation tool to make us think we are right about our lifestyle i was a different person before that thought i was always right and never thought or cared about anyone else now i see that every person is sacred and deserves happiness lets be one for the first time in existense.

The true | Reviewer: Leo | 10/15/09

This is a good song.It speak about the civil right movement and mentions many prominent figures such MLKJ and Malcom X. As far as music is concern there are many song which speak the just listen to some Bob Marley like Redemption Song,One love all most Reggae and some Dancehall like Same Ting Again by Baby Sham. Music is full of truth just take time to listen and I'm a fan of this song and its message. Just listen to some conscious tune people and hear the truth and P.S America was built of the land of the Indians, the sweat of the Africans, and the greed of the white man.Maybe Marx was on to sometime. Success is a bad thing when it comes from others hard work but does not benefit them.

Worthless Neo-Marxists | Reviewer: JRC | 7/27/09

Hypocrites. America-bashing wankers who makes millions on the capitalistic sales of their hate-filled albums. Kinda like most Obama voters, they gripe and whine and complain, but have no idea how the world really works. They’re made at Steve Forbes because he’s rich. Since when is success a bad thing?

Shut up and sing…

I luv it | Reviewer: B00n3 | 7/20/08

I've known for a while that this song had some kinda meaning to it. Sadly, I'm only a kid, and I have no experience in figuring meanings of songs such as this one. So, referably, I look up the lyrics to see how well the dude who submitted 'em and check to see if anybody got the meaning. I also need some social experience and history classes. =(
Now that I know what this is about, I'm in agreement with the people who figured the song out. I need to look up the people said in the song, and then I might have a little more understandment about such songs and be able to figure 'em out on my own. On to good ol' Wikipedia! =P

Who is Cassius? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/9/08

"Then stick and move like I was Cassius"
Is a refference to the famous boxer Cassius Clay later known as Muhammad Ali.

Cassius Clay publically spoke out against the Vietnam war, and ultimately became a draft-dodger as he refused to go even after he was recruited. Sent to prison (which lost him his Olympic Gold Medal as well as his Heavyweight Title), he discovered Islam, and became Muhammad Ali.
