The Reviews about The Bends (page 1/1)
------ performed by Radiohead

Re: Amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/13/09

Bends is my favorite album also. Of all their albums there are the most "rock and roll" type songs, and by that i mean melodic guitar riffs. There are so many songs they have they i relate to on a personal level at different times in my life, which is truly the sign of great art.

amazing. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/6/08

the bends is just a fantastic album. a lot of people claim that 'ok computer' is the best radiohead album -
bollocks.
it's the bends, no doubt about it.
there is not one filler on this album, they are all fucking amazing tracks. if you don't have if - buy it.

A well done rock song | Reviewer: Donald | 4/22/08

Most bands will have fans claiming that at one point in life or another a certain album was like the 'soundtrack' to their personal grief or joy. Radiohead, to me, has always inhabited a certain vein of experience. The lines from this song--
"Just lying in a bar with my drip feed on
talking to my girlfriend waiting for something to happen
I wish it was the sixties
I wish I could be happy
I wish, I wish, I wish that something would happen."
-- seem to be the bends album's account of that kind of disconnection from the world. I think the reason I've been listening to this song so much lately is that the other night I was out with a girl and we are both the introverted type that can talk to one another but we don't really go about meeting a group of friends or fit in well with a clique. She said 'This is so boring, nobody is doing anything we just come out and drink!" And I just thought of those lines and laughed. I suppose that means she is my girlfriend. I guess that means I have a girlfriend. Fuck.
