Dear "the Realist"
"If we did we'd demolish your country with our ultimate supply of nuclear weapons with a snap of a finger."
Do you feel tough because your country's thinking is WAR, WAR, WAR ? your weapon industry is the biggest economy in your fucking country? and with an oppinion like "Destroy you with nuclear etc." you cant be a real radiohead fan. you ever wondered why so many school are having massacres in U.S.A? your loose weapon-law and the fact that people in the U.S.A grew up, and still live in a country of VIOLENCE!
Go Radiohead.

Hey "Realist" do you know that the famous "US pride" (not saying american because AMERICA is a CONTINENT not a fucking country) and the "i dont care a shit about other countries" is what US is hated for?
US invades all and tries to control everything.
...and, i was going to start numbering things. but whatever...
I ve heard this song only 1 day ago and i loved it !!!
sounds so melacholic...

I search lots of lyrics but I've never seen so many comments like this before.
English is not my first language. I swear I even not understood what the band sang before this amazing song arosed my interest to check the lyrics. Is it anti american?
anyway, it doesn't matter.
Probably it's good thingfor people like me to listen westen music because the numbness of meaning of language purifies my thinking and enhances the sense of music itself.

Wow Realists, lol... who are you replying to bro?
I really have to say though, unification as a nation is really a small leaguers notion.
We have to unite as a Human race, and next, as thinking beings within the universe, then after, as blood brothers & sisters of all things related to material nature.
Nobody cares about our American pride. Because nowadays, we only appear to produce pride in the form of arrogance, which does not make the world a better place, but a place filled with more anguish; we then naively cringe and wonder why the world is such a hostile place.
I hope you can bring yourself to reach out your hand in friendship to the person you so negatively commented to (whoever that is).
That right there.. is not a weakness but strength.

I love Radiohead, I am AMERICAN, this song is beautiful and though I have seen my share of racism let me tell you something. The USA children and people could give two shits less about your problems with us. We have to pay for our mistakes with holding a President for two terms even if he did cheat and our governmemt is falling apart.
If you have not noticed the south of he US is about to go into a rebellion because our new president is trying to take away most of our rights. i admit most of our country are complete idiots and we are falling into a civil war but serious we could give two fucks less about what your country does or what your president does. If we did we'd demolish your country with our ultimate supply of nuclear weapons with a snap of a finger.
I'd shut my fucking mouth if I were you, we maybe in a depression, we may have dictator presidents bu if all came down to it we would unite as we always have and stomp your ass.
Take that into perspective you limey, wet backed, gaffers. We win, we always win. You want to do something about it? face us, we dare you!
Another Interpretation | Reviewer: Mike | 2/26/09
Well, I'm not going to go too deep into the interpretations of this song, because I've always just enjoyed it for what it is musically, but, when I heard this verse...
[with your opinion which is of no consequence at all]
Something struck and reminded me of a quote I once read. I would like to share and know what you guys think.
"Anyone who conducts an argument by appealing to authority is not using his intelligence; he is just using his memory."
-Leonardo Da Vinci
The meaning of this quote is pretty self-explanatory, but it also means that those who have opinions that appeal to the status-quo, speaks opinions that haven't much consequence at all.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives are mimicry, their passion's a quotation."
-Oscar Wilde
"We are a 'world of repeaters', where people repeat what someone else has said as if it's the truth without even checking it out; and no one should accept what I say here today without checking it out themselves, as they can."
-Icke
Hence the other verse:
[(I may be paranoid, but not an android)]
The consequence of fear, for being different and truly unique (paranoid), and the gift of not being like everyone else by virtue of contemporary status-quo (anti-android).
I apologize if I posted this twice.

conteraies down are boring
this song has a lot of means...the lyric is beautiful and some people feels represented in this song...i like the guitar's solo and the bass and everything..his music is amazing and they are so creative
does it really matter? | Reviewer: sydney | 1/24/09
Radiohead's lyrics are outlets of emotion. Plug in whatever you please. Sure, Radiohead had a specific purpose behind the meaning when creating it, but as for fans....it is universal. Every song probably has a million different lyrical interpretations.
radiohead in lasfm | Reviewer: radiohead | 1/14/09
this band has the most number of listeners in lasfm, up to 150 million, no band that i know tops that, not even close, oasis has only 50 mill, and i think its a vanguardist band, and all the creations are really amazing, and well put in our current time, otherwise, woudnt be so popular right now
