This music of deep saturated roots of the genius, in my mind, has a haunting reality of today and tomorrow: we will never know beyond now. Thom Yorke’s compelling and torturous harmony, rhythm and skill have made this song a trance I choose not to let go. Forcing me to think of the future and now… Great band, imperial music.

It all seems ironic with the tone and lyrics to the title. Like he is sarcastic about being optimistic in a world that is shit. And if you try the best you can, then the best you can do is only good enough....never excellent, and with this, you will only be eaten, trampled upon, or towered over.

I fell asleep listening to my iPod and when I woke up it was playing this song. It is a strangely compelling song, especially the part where Thom Yorke is just singing over instruments and a beat. It's a truly beautiful, underrated song.
