Divorce themes | Reviewer: mAttt. | 2/5/08
I read two books about Radiohead recently and in both Thom says that Morning Bell (and Morning Bell/Amnesic - them being the same song and all) is about a domestic breakup similar to that featured in 'Black Star'.

dave may not be entirely wrong about that divorce theme there... sometimes when I listen to the lyrics I get this vague feeling Thom might have a side of him which is not completely satisfied with his relationship, but that can be him (or me) overreacting.

It reminds me of getting away from the small town, as most radiohead albums mention, thats how i feel about it since im in the same position
Morning Bell Lyrics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/14/08
Originally, Thom yorke ran into a wicked case of writers block trying to follow up OK Computer. So bits of lyrics, a couple of lines at a time, where thrown together by random choice. which is why Kid A feels so schizophrenic at times.

Thoughts | Reviewer: Dave | 12/7/07
At first, I thought this song might be about divorce, because of lyrics like 'You can keep the furniture,' and 'Cut the kids in half,' but after reading them online here, I think they may be about someone who goes insane, but really I'm just not quite sure. They're weird and they don't really make much sense.
But Radiohead are awesome anyway, so it's all good.
