The Reviews about Karma Police (page 1/ 5)
------ performed by Radiohead

Great! | Reviewer: Jason | 10/20/09

I just like to point out one thing, before i do I'd like to say, This song from RaDio HeaD was awesome. What I'd like to point out is On the track at around 2:59 there's a deep sound, like a string instrument, but in fact it's a really low voice singing "For a minute there I lost my self"

I'm sure someone else has noticed, but i just think its an awesome part of the song.

My two cents | Reviewer: Chump | 10/17/09

I feel compelled to weigh in on this topic. I'm a big Radiohead fan. I am not a fan of Panic at the Disco, but I have heard the cover of this song. What really gets under my skin is when people bitch that a cover is not 'as good' as the original or is done 'wrong'. This is musical expression, not mathematics. Do you think when Radiohead wrote this song that it was bing bang boom, that's the exact sound of this song? Absolutely not. The truth of the matter is that bands cycle through different sounds and the one that they settle on and record in a studio is not the only life of the song. Music is and always has been living and breathing. The PATD cover was surprisingly good in my own opinion and offered a fresh take on a beautiful song.

About the cover of P!ATD | Reviewer: Mike | 3/31/09

I just listened to it, it's good for a cover i have to say it, but he doesn't catch the spirit of the song, the original song focus in a melancholic way, but P!ATD just tried to sing it like their other songs, with a different energy and such a different outcome.

The Best Form of Compliment... | Reviewer: Lani | 3/24/09

Is re-enactment. Of course if you love a band you'll want to do an omage to them. It's great that Panick loves Radiohead, and that they have open new ears to such a great band. No the PATD cover doesn't come to par with the excelence of the origonal, but who could? I say kudos to fellow Radiohead fans and boo to haters! Boo haters :)

Panic At The Disco VS. Radiohead? | Reviewer: Katy B. | 2/26/09

Panic At The Disco is a great band and the only reason I looked up stuff about Radiohead Karma Police and the only reason I got into them. Maybe you should stop complaining about them and listen to their music a little. The cover they did of this song is good and so is the original.

Radiohead is the most amazing thing i have ever heard in my life! I just listened to that panic at the disco version and yeah i'd say it was pretty terrible =/ if you're gonna cover a song make sure you do it right.

There is a fantastic cover of this song by a reggae band called Easy Star All-Stars with Citizen Cope on lyrics. As a huge fan of Radiohead for many years, it kinds hurts me to say this, but their cover is just as good as the original.

Actually Easy Star All-Stars covered the whole OK Computer album and called it Radiodread. All worth checking out, as is their Pink Floyd cover album, Dub Side of the Moon.

i think this song is about Conscience, Karma police. the title says it all.
"And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself" after the cruel things he said in the verses about the hitler hairdo, and the crashing of the party his conscience hits back. and he excuses, that he lost his mind. you'll get a beed feeling when messing with the karma police(conscience) .

Hey Tara I also heard PATD's cover and I got to say that we must have different musical tastes because I think it sucked compared to the original. The lead singer sounds like a whiny arse when he sings the chorus. I mean I don't thrash on that style of music but that one part where he says "Thats what you get when you FUCK with us" sounded ****,*******. Seriously, Radiohead's original is a masterpiece. I mean it's emotionally beautiful and PATD's is in no way better. I respect PATD though because they sell lots of records and I wish I made money for being as talented as them.*Cough* I'ma get haircuts like them and make a band watch.OK?I'll make it you nonbelievers!!!

I think that no other version could ever be as good as the original...and I don't think that is bad that a lot of Radiohead's lyrics are depressive...I also love Muse, and they also have great (and depressive) lyrics and music, but of course, they are very different bands, I don't like to compare...
