"High & Dry" (to me) is about someone who had everything, maybe even fame. They thought everyone loved them and now where have they gone now that they aren't on top anymore? They just aren't around, forgot all about you.

Live it, love it, and do everything in your power to cherish and SAVOR every moment and live life to the fullest and you'll have no regrets and it will ONLY get better... Everytime I listen to this song I get a different meaning. Now I do think it's about someone he loved and lost and regrets..... Or maybe he doesn't know how to let himself be loved.

its been 6 yrs wen the first time i heard this song, high and dry brought me back into life during highskul youth. this is great great song anf its relate on me a lot. radiohead please give me another song like this..alvin chua at Philippines

this is a beautiful song. it is about a boy yes who has screwed over a girl because he thinks he comes first, and doesnt care about anyone but himself, and then when he looses her he realizes that he is nothing, and that hes left high and dry because of his own decisions

this is a song about a man who has fuckied over a girl but realized taht she is the best thing that has ever hapened to him...... it is a man speaking to himself...he put himself in front of her every day they were together and blamed her for evertyhing that went wrong.. after it ended he relized that it was his fault and the "best thing that he ever had" was no longer there...it is a deep, sad, self-loaving song.... song about regret.... he left himself HIGH AND DRY

It's not that deep of a song. It's obviously about someone the writer loves who is a daredevil as a lot of young men are. The writer is begging the person to stop because the writer is afraid the person will die and leave him high and dry.

i find that whenever im going to certain times in my life, i subconciously discover a new radiohead song that i play over and over in my head for weeks that relates perfectly to how i am feeling. i dont know-- it just gives me hope that im not crazy for feeling this way. and it's not emo. its not all depressing. it doesnt make me feel like killing myself-- i can listen to each song no matter how i feel- sad, angry, happy, upset, content, it just fits with who i am. and its weird-- every radiohead song, i feel like ive heard before. like it's all somehow so farmiliar...

very powerfull song. probably one of the most accessable radiohead songs, but not the best. mabye a bit too normal. A bit of wierdness is lacking!

Makes me think of how much of a fuck up i've been in life. You tend to want to go back and fix things and then ; sad realization. You can't go back. Live with your decisions. Sometimes it's too hard. We are the ones screaming out.

ctually, if we overdo it we kill the song. I am I amcertain that we who listent to high and dry I am sure that we who hear this song can approximate the magical feeling running through the mind, heart and blood of its creator. I am sure that Radiohead, as a group recognized that they were involved in something magical when they first practiced it an performed it. it is a song that makes us tap into the slimmest chance of not feeling mortal in a world where we are defined by our affections.gus

Kind of sad, kind of gloomy, but with a great catch and still melodious. it makes you refrain and think about all the stupid things we all have ever done in life, just like it would never be tomorrow.

I may never discrive better than anon( I touched but I couldn't) every time I here this song, It makes me travel along my memories lots of them sad lots of them lovelies, but anyway. Anon I may be I'll cross you by the next cloud.

Whenever I walk home at night in a desolate area I tend to play this track. I get lost in it and
memories of my time in london flock my mind. The romance, the fun, the sadness of leaving the person I long to be with behind. I spot a plane in the sky and long to be back in london in his arms. It's a beautiful piece.

i may be wrong, but i heard somewhere that the song is about Eddie Kidd, the stunt rider.
If anyone can confirm or deny that, i would be grateful...
