The Reviews about Bullet Proof..I Wish I was (page 1/1)
------ performed by Radiohead
weak, sensitive, desperate | Reviewer: Goblast | 3/29/09
My viewing of this song, my favorite of radiohead, is that the person is sensitive, somehow a little weak, desperate and powerless towards the things that he lives and he just wish he was someone stronger, that he could repel the bad things by being bulletproof. The bullets being the obstacles in his life.
Radiohead rules
my way of seeing it | Reviewer: lib. | 3/26/09
this song is about sensitive people emotionaly unstable. "You have turned me into this " refers to people responsible for ruining their childhood. boolletproof is their desire for being impassive n then feeling better."Wax me, mould me,
Heat the pins and stab them in," is their feeling of helpnessnes . "Lead fill the hole in me" is their problem handling caused by daddy issues.
Heroin? | Reviewer: john | 2/25/09
You analysis is full of crap. How do you dare to say it is a misconception based on the band individual experience!! I am sorry but radiohead deals with all situations they are not selfish or self centered. Take for example the song all i need they wrote this song about child slavery in asian countries. as far as i know none of them are asians or slave. your approach is quite selfish, close minded and ignorant. Based on your jugement you dont deserve to listen to their music and judge it.
Heroin? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/15/08
Heroin? That is a gross misinterpretation with no backup facts. Sure, you could say that is what the song is about but have any of the band members even done heroin? If they haven't, why would they write about it?
This song sounds more like it is about the band itself and their relationship with the music industry. They are being used, "moulded" and "waxed" which is tearing them up. Sarcastically, they don't mind that this is happening in the line "heat the pins and stab them in". He just wishes that they could be bulletproof, perhaps emotionally from being used while just wanting big business to pay them. In the end they determine that they will have to take the emotional blow to get the pay with the line, "lead fill the hole in me." They burst in a "million bubbles" which is why you got this song. Ironically the song is not them, but hoisted upon them by the industry ala "surrogate". They feel they cannot stop being commercially used. I believe this is a common theme in the album since the band wanted to get beyond the Creep label, which is why they unleashed their frustrations in the Bends and changed their style

Another Song About Heroin Addiction .Thom Yorke Wishes He Was Bullet Proof From The Shots He Takes. But If I Wasn't For Drugs You Would Never Have Heard This song Or Any Other Good Radiohead Song. Radiohead The Greatest Band Of This Generation.
