all of them are necessary | Reviewer: Sebastian | 9/21/13
eRadiohead is all of them, it would be a really different thing if one of them wasn't there probably you don't think about how important ed is, that gloomy, almost dark sound of many songs is product of his mind

This song describes almost exactly what I'm feeling. It's a song about a love that is so hopeless that you kinda blame yourself for believing in it. A love that feels so profoundly real but at the same time appears almost pathetic when seen from an outside perspective. Yes there is self-loathing in the lyrics, but I think it comes from the view that only a fool could feel so much for someone that is so far out of reach.

Basically, for me this song can be summarized in the line that says "I am a moth, who just wants to share your light". I've always felt identified with moths and wolves, and this line perfectly expresses what I feel for a girl in my class, I feel like a moth trying to escape from my dark and gloomy world, where she is the only light that can save me from my misery, but somehow "Iam all the days that SHE chooses to ignore"...

this song appears to be based on (or at least simular to) the sun poem by charles causleyin 1632, "I am the great sun, but you do not see me,
I am your husband, but you turn away.
I am the captive, but you do not free me,
I am the captain but you will not obey.
I am the truth, but you will not believe me,
I am the city where you will not stay.
I am your wife, your child, but you will leave me,
I am that God to whom you will not pray.
I am your counsel, but you will not hear me,
I am your lover whom you will betray.
I am the victor, but you do not cheer me,
I am the holy dove whom you will slay.
I am your life, but if you will not name me,
Seal up your soul with tears, and never blame me."
Yeah, Pretty it is! | Reviewer: Marco L | 4/25/10
Pretty song, kinda sad though.
The song is filled with some kind of hopeless love, self loath. The self loath kind of reminds me of Creep.
And yeah I agree with Leo.
Thom Yorke is a huge and crucial factor, his lyrical genius is unmatched, and his singing is so unique.
There aren't many who can sing like that. And I dont mean just how high he can sing, but also how he sings so strongly.
His singing is full of emotion, so rich, it dominates the mood of the song. The guy's a gift to the world, radiohead is the miracle enabled by the gift.

I wouldn't be radiohead if one of the members went missing. The reason they're so good is cuz each member is good enough, or enough of a genius, to start their own band and have it be musically successful
Ok | Reviewer: Leo | 3/21/09
you are right, but you cant deny that thom yorke is in, at least 50 percent, the brain of radiohead. And the other members of the band accepted it. Anyway my point is.. it wouldnt be radiohead without him
awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/4/09
i could not agree more with your review, except to say that the brilliance of radiohead is not thom yorke. It is each and every member of the band working together (as lame as that sounds its true). No 1 man is not brilliant enough to be radiohead.
sooo pretty!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/30/07
oooooh my GOD!! This song is really beautiful!!! Radiohead are amazing...their legacu will live on FOREVER!!! Jeez, other bands should be falling at Thom Yorkes' feet, begging him to teach them something about song writing!
