The Reviews about Airbag (page 2/ 2)
------ performed by Radiohead

thom's input | Reviewer: steve | 3/20/07

thom has said that it's about things we take for granted, like every safe car ride. he said that we should really be thinking "thank god i'm alive! i'm so lucky to be alive!" because in his opinion, we're just along for the ride in a car, we're not in control.

Metaphor??? | Reviewer: Mickinson | 3/16/07

I'd suggest that as well as just being about Thom Yorke's survival of a carcrash, the song may be a metaphor for the cushioning of a mental blow, not just for a car crash. May jus tbe looking too deep, I always do as a songwriter myself.

Amazing song | Reviewer: Stag | 3/6/07

The lyrics are wonderful and the entire song is just amazing in my opinion, the guitar sounds like a cello in the intro, it also hints a little at their later experiments with electronica (like in KID A and so on)
I just can't flaw Radiohead. At all.

great beggining | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/14/07

just so you know, this song is actually about a time when thom survived a car crash. the lyrics are a little abstract, but you see where hes coming from.

good beginning | Reviewer: ton | 8/26/05

A good beginning of the CD 'Ok Computer' this song 'Airbag'. In France they have a saying 'C'est le tone qui fait la musique', and that's especially true for this song, as a precursor of rest of the CD. You almost believe Radiohead has something to say, because of the sounds in the CD, until you think at the end: 'What do they say?'
Not very much is my opinion; 'interstellar bursts', 'he man slow-down's' and 'jackknifed juggernauts', it's all a bit to perculiar to me, but I write this after my 3rd bottle of wine, so mayne I'm wrong..
